You keep bringing up war. Do you realize how America economics work? If so you would understand why wars will always be a part of it.
I know enough about the economy to know that a slight shift in priorities won't hurt it. No one is asking to never go to war. Defense will always be a top priority and a major portion of the U.S. economy.
But home sales, home appliances/furniture sales, car sales and other higher priced consumer goods would be much more stable over the next 10 years with lighter student loan burdens.
A lot of people aged 25 to 35 are putting off buying homes and starting families in record numbers because of student loan debt.
