HBCU Baseball and Softball: February 29 - March 6

Think this is the first time we've won a series since (somehow beating) JSU a couple of years ago

Bama State swept Jackson State with a 4-3 victory. It was a very spirited game on a pretty day to watch some baseball. Go Hornets.

I went to the AAMU/Lipscomb game yesterday and AAMU doesnt look to bad their issue is just like most SWAC schools is pitching...Lipscomb had one big inning and thats all it took yesterday.

Same for Alcorn when they came up here to play Austin Peay their Friday Night starter was on point..

Hey Grambling, ever thought to insert your scores on the GSUTigers.com athletic web site? SujagTILiDIE is going to haven hard time smack talking if he can't find reputable info on your athletica website.

Then again, at least you guys at GSU post recaps on baseball. Southern doesn't go tha far though they do list scores.

Panthers fend off Tigers for 5-4 win, weekend series

HOUSTON –
The Prairie View A&M Panthers stunned the Southwestern Athletic Conference's defending champion Sunday as they defeated Texas Southern 5-4 to take two out of three of in the weekend series.

Marlan Chatman's pinch-hit double in the top of the eighth inning to score Nick Gurka and Cody Den Beste ended up giving the Panthers (4-7, 2-1 SWAC) valuable insurance runs as they stanched TSU rallies in the eighth and ninth innings.

They should have just swapped locations for their series. We did it a few years ago with tsu when our stadium renovations wasn't complete.
TV is involved with SU's home game weekend, as that series is scheduled to be televised. Plus SU also has Negro League weekend, that weekend. I think Gram agreed to it so that's on them. It was so last minute, the baseball boosters weren't available to cook at the games either. SU baseball with no chicken wangs lol, that's unheard of.

Wait....so are both series gonna be played at SU?

From what I understand, yes. I have season books, and I couldn't use my tickets. They said this was Gramblings home game and SU's home game would be the originally scheduled date.
Damn, Gram.......you gotta make them take that ride!!! Ain't no way I agree to that. You gotta find somewhere to play on that end of the state.
