Yeah yeah. Just keep stroking two MEAC programs that sucked those years.

Man sit down somewhere. You are the only one who is challenged if you are going to sit up here and stroke two weak MEAC Challenge opponents. The fact is that the teams that you beat weren't good teams and everyone with a brain knows that SU opponents were hand picked for a money and attendance reason. Did it make sense? Yes. Sure, SU wasn't coming off a strong season, but the fact remains that SU was a consistent HBCU winning program for the time. Everyone who follows football knows that FAMU was coming off a drama filled season that cause a major shake up in their athletic department and FBS plans. After losing several players and leadership issues, everyone knew FAMU was going to be terrible that year. If I am not mistaken, they only won 1 or 2 games that year. It doesn't make any sense to debate Delaware State, (who won 2 or 3 games that year as well).
Stop trying to defend playing two weak MEAC teams. Just take your win like a good Jag and be happy you didn't face Hampton, SCSU or Cookman. I am happy SU won and gave our disappointing conference some wins in the challenge.
We need a QB!
Expecting a good CB game.
I won't be attending because I'm still being a sourpuss about the MEAC's autobid.
In my personal opinion this game would still make alotta money without our champions. Give people a reason to travel & see a good game/party & they'll come.
I do wish all the time that MEAC & SWAC Champions would compete for the playoffs. Champions belong with other champions...not just the black ones. a BCU/SWAC loser would be a good game. (The BCU/Gram game was wild this year. A rematch would be dope). But anyways hope you all enjoy ATL. I'll be watching at home.
Meac schools have very high student athletic fees to prop up their athletic budget. Some charge anywhere between $600-$1,100 a year per student.
What drama filled season...we played Southern in 2007 and FAMU was coming off of a 7-4 season...about two or three years removed from the FBS fiasco.
As a matter of fact, FAMU fans were expecting a return to glory in 2007 and fired Reuben Carter after that disappointing season...then we rebounded immediately after Joe Taylor became the coach the following season
this is what they are doing
Actually, A&T's enrollment increased from 10,734 to 10,875 this year.Yep. That one of the reason after posting record number enrollment last yesr. A&T lost 1500 students this year.

Ha! My FAMU family and friends sure didn't tell me anything about them believing in a return to glory in 2007. In Basebone's defense, everyone knew FAMU was going to be garbage in 2007. Yes, they were 3 years removed from the FBS mistakes, but year 3 and even 4 are the years that the recruiting drama bites you in the tail.
I also agree that Southern got a "let the SWAC win one this year" deal. Del State and FAMU weren't going to be able to do Hampton, SCSU, BCU and even Norfolk St could have done.
Come to think about it, I am going to leave this alone now because it's a pointless debate. SU won the challenge game and it's not their fault that they didn't play a top team. Unlike the previous SWAC champions and top SWAC teams, SU took care of business.
You bet because that 3-5 last place SU team totally out match you guys by at least 3 TD's. Negro please

What do you mean "you guys"?
Now is this a head banger or what?

Still waiting?
I was too heart broken to tell lil band dude dat. You could tell he was getting in his feelings.
Lol. I can guarantee that this lil band dude has a athletic resume that you could hold with two hands.
Man, some (not all), of you SU folks really are something.
Um what does that have to do with you saying something as ridiculous as SU hand picked a team that they knew their 3-5 last place team could beat?
And that it was done for attendance purposes. One thing about 90% of the meac fans that are encounter in these forums. They are expert at knowing everything except what's going on right under their own nose.
