This looks like the classic SU gets a big lead, then takes it foot off the gas which lets the other team close the score gap.

But your 2015 SWAC West Champions are visiting Lorman next week so SU can wait.
 
Oh well, we won the game. Offense appears to be super deadly still. Just need the defense to play consistently good for the entire game and not one half.

Question: Does Odums himself call the defensive plays? I always believe a Head Coach should NEVER EVER have collateral duty as an OC or DC. Keeps things more organized when you have a HC, OC, and DC separately.

He's forgetting the fact PV let Grambling score 70 on them. Our defense (despite being shaky at times) definitely is much better than PVs. Our offense is just as good if not better than Grambling's. (due to our RB threat)

You should have seen me when we played Morehouse. We didn't score until the 4thQ (7 minutes into)......then THEY scored...........and then we went into TRIPLE OVERTIME and won by 2 points! My father suffered a stroke just one week before we played Morehouse, so my nerves were already shot; the way my boys played that game, I thought I was going to be sharing a room with my Daddy. I left Golden Lion Stadium just jittery! LOL!

Seriously love, be happy with the win today, and be thankful your team is competitive. The Jags could have a record like my folks.

I wouldn't know because I was following the ESPN game feed. Folks at the game probably could tell you. It would certainly make me feel better if it was our 2nd string.lol

Sting, that won't be necessary. Just have the Hornets play like they did today on October 15th, and you, Coach Jenkins, and the Hornets will be happy.

You're forgetting the fact that PV's offense is much better than ASU
 
The hornets played well and hard all night. They stopped the run all game. But SU played like hot shit all game. From the undisciplined false start penalties, to overthrowing WR's, Menard's play, and the defense in the 2nd half.

Hopefully they right the ship real quick!!!!

Our defense gave up a 30 piece in the 2nd half to a weak offensive team.

You know, my oldest daughter told me that I shouldn't be upset after the UAPB/Southern game because the Jags usually like putting a lot of points up on opponents; she said (and I quote), "I don't know why, it's just something we do". I told her that she and her school gets on my nerves.:p

Thanks for the invite; I'll still be licking my wounds from the Stinging (pun intended) on Thursday before, and that weekend is my weekend to work 3rd shift. I was in Baton Rouge on yesterday to bring my daughter there and I heard all the announcements on the radio promoting SU's homecoming and the events. I know it's early, but enjoy yourself, have fun, but be safe!
