How does the Bama State fans feel about that Sting. Do you guys rather have it the Saturday before or actually on Thanksgiving Day? I know that has been a LONG tradition at Bama State.

Probably had nothing to do with egos.

The series ended because skeege wanted back into the playoffs. Playing this game at the beginning of the season as 1st team "tune up" for alabama st allow skeege to have both. They can still finish their season before the playoff selections start.

Just smart scheduling with the 9 game nandate being eliminated.This is a game that is sure to pack the stadium for those 4 years.

None of us are playoff bound anymore so it makes good dollar and cents to have games that weekend.

Finally got my wish since the swac gave up the playoffs. Made no sense to keep the game before black friday and thanksgiving visitors got here. This city is packed with out of town family and visitors ready to shop that weekend.

I been saying his here since the early 2000's.
Mofos need to listen to Saratoga more often and sooner. Lol

After we ran through them in 2010, the year they went back to the NC game, they keep saying no. They jumped at the chance right after bell left. Lol

HBCU within the state of Alabama that was willing to play in the game and forego the D2 playoffs. They have quite a few alums here in Montgomery and the school is about an hour and a half away.
 
I dont know.
playing MILES as the last game of the season is a letdown.

Poof...... no excitement.......season over.

It's harder to find opponents to play actually on Thanksgiving Day, because more teams outside of the SWAC are looking more at the playoffs in the FCS and D-2.

Yeah I get that, but with the hire of Jenkins I thought you guys were looking to go in another direction. Not add another D2 school to your schedule that does absolutely nothing for you.

Miles is only scheduled for this year. There's nothing set in stone for a future TDC opponent. We've already added 3 FBS opponents within the past month.

Its only a bad decision if you can't find a decent FCS school to play for TDC. Otherwise, you will be playing two D2s a year.. well 3 if you count that smalltime school that I won't name.
