Good publicity for JSU, but I'm weary of how they will portray JSU and all other HBCUs for that matter. Will Casey going to JSU be portrayed as "bottom of the barrel" (circa The Waterboy), even though we are D1 programs along with SDSU, JxSU, Montana, Villanova, Georgetown, Harvard, etc.? Will Comegy be portrayed as a great football recruiter and coach who also understood there were more important things in life than football, or will he be this hapless coach who lucked up and hitched HIS wagon to the White (Tiger) savior. Peep the rumored title of the movie. They're definitely going to run this angle, but I hope Hollywood doesn't overdo it like they have a tendency to do. Hollywood loves to make these movies, but oftentimes portray to a certain detriment of the (insert other ethnicity) race, or from the White perspective.
Ex.
Movies that slightly overdid it: The Blind Side, Glory Road (1st NCAA Champs starting 5 Black players), Hardball, The Help
Movies that got some push back: Hurricane Season, Selma
Movies with just the right blend: Remember the Titans, When the Game Stands Tall, Glory
