@Tigerpride, how many TDs did our 1st time starter toss on that marshmallow defense of yours? Did Coach Bobby Rush get to see all of em or did he have to go to the locker room to change his diaper?

Dude, why would teams watch out for AAMU and UAPB. UAPB had ONE good player. He is gone. They might not even beat Valley this year. AAMU didn't get any better as their season went on. They ended the season 0-3 and lost to a bad UAPB team to end the season.

Every year, we always do this. We say the SWAC might be tougher or whatever. There is only ONE team to look out for and that is JSU. We are probalby the only dark horse AND we ended the season on a good note. I think most people expect good things from Alcorn and AlaState on the EAST and from GSU and SU in the WEST but it should be clear to everyone that AAMU, Valley, UAPB, PV and TxSo will be pretty bad. Seriously...

If I had to rank teams I would say (and this is just by default as Alcorn nor SU will be as good in 2015 as they were in 2014)

1. Alcorn - Giving them benefit of doubt here. They replaced Simmons with Kaiss who does well with run-based teams. However, he is not remotely creative.
2. Grambling - Has the most upside of any team and might be the favorite to win the SWAC. They did the impossible last year but ended the season with losses to AlaState and SU... they did put up good fights tho.
3. SU -This year, they have decent QB going into the fall.. however the rest of talent on that team is on a downward spiral. And the coaching has always been bad.
4. Alabama State: New coaches, new system, same players, same school. They will contend as always but fall short... as always..
5. Jackson State: No one knows what to expect from JSU but a lot games last year were close or lost in the 4th quarter (GSU, Valley, PV) and improvements made across the board have the Tigers hopeful that Houston is a possibility. However, being a 3rd place in the EAST for the second year in a row may not be enough to keep OMJ at the helm.

Then it gets tough to even rank:

6. AAMU.. out of the bad teams, I think they get at least some benefit of the doubt since they have a history of moderate sucess
7. PV: They will be pretty bad but most think Simmons will upgrade them
8. TxSo: Just a lost cause
9. Valley: They are Valley.
10. UAPB. In worse shape than Valley.. and that's hard to do.

Really Really... I take it you didn't pay attention to last year.. We will be fine we didn't start seeing progression until late but it was refreshing. And didn't your guys escape barely winning in the bluff. Worse than Valley lmao if you are not careful thats where you JSU folks will be! Just wait until the season starts and we will show you.......

See you guys keep missing ONE thing. TP ain't never said ONE time that JSU had a good team last year. We sucked. So why you all keep bringing up what you did vs JSU. What you did was LOST to a bad JSU. AAMU beat us by 9 points and you would swear they tore us out the frame. BUT if you wanna talk about the UAPB game (see I always talk about the games unlike the "sports-people" on here.. :snicker:...) our defense kept you in it. Our defense was poo for most of the first 10 games of the season. It was evident in the first game. We were 3 TDs better than FAMU but we couldn't contain a QB back then to save our life. Not to mention how many times our offense got in the redzone and couldn't score... but this is 2015. It's on!

Just know that when TP says something. It's not hate. It's just the truth as I see it. Last summer, I kept telling these Jags that their lil skinny QB didn't belong on the football field. YET, they argued me down. Now dude is like 5th string. You will see how weak your talent is. Your saving grace will be Short Dawg and and modestly experienced and efficient QB but your defense was bad in 2012, worse in 2013 and 'worser" in 2014. Im sure it's gonna be outright TURRIBLE this year.

That skinny qb u mention led our offense first drive of the game against your defense in which he scored the first touchdown. Secondly his not a fifth stringer his actually alternating with Austin Howard on starts some games plus his an athlete. U cant speak on us having a bad defense when in those years u mention we beat yall with that bad defense. Your team doesnt have but one play maker and thats #81 on offense. Your defense, offense, and special teams r horrible. Smh! Did u c how yall couldnt stay in yall lines on special teams? Your dbs been bad since the 90s! Dude go re evaluate your team b4 you try to talk about mines.

And every time Danny Johnson was matched on him one on one...he caught 2 passes (one was tipped) Lol...

I mean their was really no set starter at RB, all three had games they started but I will Say #4 became the better back towards the end of the season, and yea #24, #21, and #19 are all coming back.. #23 left

How many times do I have to say this? OUR DEFENSE SUCKED LAST YEAR. Somebody's grandmama could have ran up and down the field on us. But once we changed the defense, ask Alabama State, TxSo and Alcorn about that DARKSIDE. The only thing that saved BAMA State is that we went into the game short handed w o-linemen and we lost two more. We had o-linemen playing out of position ALL year long. We barely had 5 good linemen. By the end of BAMA State game, we had three. If not for a depleted o-line, we would have put Alabama State out of their misery in the first half. But since we couldn't move the ball, we kept them in the game, they wore our defense down and they won the game.

You won't see that this year. We are a SOLID 2 deep on the o-line right now.

..and we have changed our special teams and defense. ONE guy, who we fired was over both. By the end of the season, his systems we out the door and we started winning. and yeah, those sorry teams of yours beat us and you see we fired our coaches. Losing to teams as sorry as yours made no sense.

Thats amazing that u got so much faith in jackson. I dont have to ask alabama state, jackson, nor txso anything we beat all three of your butts. The only team that matches up with Southern is Alcorn. Tp jackson i promise aint what they use to b.

U say we sorry but u fail to realize overall weve beaten yall more times than yall have beaten us. Secondly u say we sorry but weve beaten yall every time we play yall in the championship. Didnt we give yall the worst whippin within the swac in history? Dude make my words jackson is the third best team in mississippi in the swac.
