He already told you it is not true because he was THERE! In the locker room area....not in the arena. I should know by now I have to use pictures.

Pugh said nothing about what TXSU players were involved if you read the 2 articles that I posted. She said she saw a TXSU throw a punch and then all heck broke loose. The author of the article was the one that said Alexus Johnson was trying to continue the fight into the locker room, not Pugh. She was not quoted saying anything about players trying to get into the locker room at least in the articles I read.

I still want to know why su is so often a party in such occurrences? It is across the university athletes, band, fans, students.... Something need to be done.

Just like I pointed out about the erroneous report on the front page of HBCUSPORTS which said an sTu player committed a hard foul and that initiated the brawl when the official account is that a charge was taken by sTu player Miracle Davis an the squabble ensued afterwards.

...is refuted sentences later by this.....
"It all started when TSU’s Miracle Davis took a charge underneath the TSU basket."

The latter comes from the same article that national outlets picked up (which, coincidentally, contained other erroneous information), while the former suggests that TSU committed a hard, unnecessary, foul, then had two players run off the bench for no reason to trigger the fight. In actuality, the players ran off BOTH benches in REACTION to the fight that had already started after the TSU player took the charge (which is an OFFENSIVE foul committed by SU). The former is also attributed to a random fan in attendance while the latter comes from a combination of the head coach as well as a published account from the media.

I stop short of calling journalistic credibility into question, but don't act surprised that people are up in arms about the way this article is written.

That doesn't make it erroneous.
 
Dude, you can present different sides of an event like this from the perspective of those who witnessed it or were involved without the article or reporting being erroneous. But why am I surprised you don't know this.

The truth is someplace in there. The SWAC play by play doesn't list a foul by either team at all at that point (after the 2 baskets to make it 49-49 and 51-49.

It's apparent that you did not read my response. In my response, I pointed out the conflicting information, which you attribute to presenting differing viewpoints. I pointed out that the erroneous information is contained in the published article by the Advocate that you used as a source for the article. So now there is a point of view that conflicts with already erroneous information that has been presented as the "narrative" of what actually happened.

Deja vu.....the feeling that you are doing something you have done before.

J4L, the official play by play does not list the offensive foul because the calling official never had the chance to officially report it to the table. The whistle blew and the preliminary signal was given. The foul doesn't get recorded until it is reported, and that never happened because of the fight.

How did you find the lone fan (of the 3,024 listed in official attendance) that you attributed the quote to? If you want to ad viewpoints from those in attendance, and provide a FAIR article (I'll stay away from the word erroneous), could there not have been more people quoted? Just a question....you know, because I'm not a journalist.

That one person volunteered information and went on record.

Why didn't the TSU coach speak to the media directly (local or otherwise)?
