LOL this goes beyond being tough. Heck most coaches are hard on their players. But while that knife incident will get headlines, that's not the main problem. The allegations about extra benefits and practice time?? That's the problem. I see you conveniently left that alone.

Cool? Laughable. I tend to think this is being painted in a way that is more than what it was. We werent there. The player himself said he didnt feel threatened. This years later crying and bellyaching is stuff softies and wussies do. I dont fool myself into thinking everything is all peaches and cream behind the scenes with a team. My old coach use to shove, push, hit, choke lol.

You can sit up here and call these kids soft all you want...but wait until one of their parents file a lawsuit for Jenkins going out of bounds again.

Yeah, this generation of kids aren't as tough as the past..but some of this stuff is so far left that you can't blame them for it.

You mean to tell me you wouldn't raise hell if your kid calls home talking about "I'm sleeping out of my truck?"

Old folks love to say, "well back in my day.... " yeah well back in your day kids were getting beat with wet rags, hanger, water hoses etc. and it was abuse. Back in your day, your coach might've spit, choke or whatever but it was still wrong as hell.

Some of that stuff would fall on the administration, not just the HC.
 
Dude is innocent until proven guilty. Kinda strange how all of them are deciding to come out when he leaves.

Fear of retaliation. C'mon MH. I understand what you're saying. Innocent until proven guilty is right but in this day and age the media THRIVES off allegations. This will not end well for Bethune Cookman, Brian Jenkins, Melvin Hines, and Alabama State. I hope I'm wrong. As I said in my first post on this issue I wish Alabama State well as all of this continues to unfold. We're only on Day 2 of this... stay tuned.

Some of these dudes had already quit a few years ago. Why not make it known then what was going on?
 
It has been said that Nick Saban is the most brutal coach to his players, but you haven't seen anyone from LSU try to point this out to the media now that he's at Bama. IMO, if you're going to report someone, report them while they can be caught red handed.

This dude was damn near to Bethune Cookman what Doug Williams once was to GSU. Basically he could do what he wanted. Also, white folks put money in front of EVERYTHING!!! They don't give a shit what Nick Saban does as long as Alabama is winning.

Let Alabama start having consecutive losing seasons and see what happens.
