Hey Bama State...remember when I said Brian Jenkins was crazy...

I agree that it is interesting, but were they too scared of Jenkins to report him while he was the head coach at BCU??? Something just doesn't set right with me concerning this, unless they were a bunch of wussies and Jenkins was too much of a man for them. If I was the NCAA, I would open up all kinds of investigations on BCU since they elected to hide this until Jenkins left. This could be a sign that they are hiding other things too.

They were peobably hiding academic fraud that usually comes from hiding excessive practice time. You only get 24 hours in a day, and eventually, time gets away...

Wusses? Too much of a man? Lol we are always quick to blame the whistleblower, but never the wrong doer. Either these allegations are true and both Jenkins and BCU are in trouble....or multiple parties(coaches and players) decided to get together and make it up out of thin air. Which scenario sounds more plausible. There's no gray area here.

Very interesting that ONE person - who eventually had her case thrown out - made allegations about our former AD and y'all fell right in line with that mess. Calling her all kinda of vulgar names. Not ever once wondering why, if she was that brazen, no one else ever made similar allegations against her. In this situation you have multiple parties detailing outright rule violations and you're on here looking for nuance.

Yep!!! Why wait until the man leaves to report him? They should have done it while he was still their head coach. They had facts when he was at BCU, now that he is gone, it's just an allegation or his word against their word.

White people stick together. Black people seek to destroy each other, but will die protecting other races.

The allegations didn't JUST get made by the players and coaches. Did yall not read this:
Prior to Jenkins' departure in December from Bethune-Cookman, officials there had conducted an investigation into a number of allegations

No one in their right mind would turn down JSU for Alabama State. However, I never wanted Jenkins at JSU. You want coaches who want to coach for you. He would rub JSU fans the wrong way by looking for another job every year. That wasn't gonna fly in Jackson. He wasn't a good fit for us... but he will be a good fit for the foot he gets up the azz in Jackson!

One huge sign to me was when NONE of his former coaches wanted to leave with him....The value in Jenkins was his STAFF. When you have to keep Ramsey as DC.... oh well...

There's your lead right there. Jenkins knew his time was up and he had to get away QUICK before all of this was made public. You also see the reason NONE of his assistant coaches went with him.

Good luck to Bama State as all of this continues to unfold...

I wanted Jenkins his teams wins...and he is 100 times better than what we have now at JSU...I know for a fact none of us (JSU alums) knew about his antics at BCU...its easy to say now we didnt want him now that these allegations are out there..

I'm glad someone from jsu speaks with some sense.

Well buy season tickets to Bama state.
You can have all the jenkins you want. It's that simple. Lol
He's not at JSU. Get over it.

Im the only person who said i never really wanted Jenkins (that is not saying i wanted OMJ either) and you know i told u that. Lol. And u gonna see how much "better" he is real soon.

Jenkins is going to feel at home at BAMA St. he will get to meet the NCAA people in person since they have a on site office down there. He's gonna love coaching in that big stadium (with the little side) that gets filled for possible one (homecoming) game. This is what he's been waiting for his entire coaching career.

CONGRATS JENKINS!!!!!! YOU MADE IT!!! TOP OF THE WORLD.

Exactly. I guess BCU did its due diligence and investigated the allegations and concluded they needed to cut ties to Jenkins. He saw the writing on the wall and bounced. You don't just take a $90K pay cut to go to a less successful program in a far less attractive location.

If these allegations are true, that makes him 100 times worse than Jackson. A lot of us on this board wanted him, but it wasn't unanimous. I wanted him initially but was turned off by how he handled the search. He claimed he had no interest and that we came to him when it was the exact opposite. Let's just say we dodged a bullet.

We as Black Folks are funny. We really are. White Folks know to REAP THE BENEFITS FIRST before shit goes downhill. Black Folks will crack open shit over petty mess first and not reap the benefits.

Look all "self-righteous" - Pat Dye said this in War Eagle/Roll Tide Documentary. None of the good college football programs are 100% Squeaky Clean.

This includes HBCUs. But when somebody comes to an HBCU and starts fire under people's asses, they get together with their little "social clubs" and get rid of them. Even in Wrongdoing, we as blacks don't know how to act.

Ummm... BCU did reap the benefits before shit went downhill.

The responses on this thread are very telling. Some of yall aint never played sports and it shows. If Jenkins is hard on his players, he damn shole aint the first. But measure his tough approach with the results he get on game day. He has won big. Nobody can say say he hasnt. But maybe some of yall its more important that your coach is best friends with the team and sit around singing kum ba yah. The stories i could tell bout my old coaches......
But i digress, these new school players and posters smh

So, holding a knife to a player's neck is cool?

Regardless of all of that... What about him paying the $250 for the player to get his transcript and the ride down to USF?
