Oregon vs OSU

I just wanna see if he will be on the same platform/stage as A.Luck or will he be another bust

Time will tell...

Dude aint no better than Johnny Football and he was over-rated a bit...

Johnny football was good, but unpredictable and sporadic. Mariota is more like a Donovan McNabb than Adrew Luck.

And check out his turnover ratio to completions. It's turnovers are crazy low. He never forces the balls and ALWAYS seem to choose the right person to pass the ball to. He's going to do great in the pros.

Again I won't insult your post, because that's your view, I just think that dude is over-rated and won't pan out to be nothing but a back-up in the pros..

I just don't see it

I see him being a product of that offense which by means isn't a bad thing, but it isn't something that will make you a good QB in the pros...

Yep, you confirmed it. You don't know football. Johnny Manziel can't hold this dudes jock strap. Johnny isn't smart enough to play in this guy's league.

Dude Johnny won the Heisman as a FR Lol..what is you saying...and he played in the SEC which have much tougher defenses Lol

stop it bruh

You don't need to try. You can't. The dude can play football. PERIOD. And he plays like Andrew Luck. He never makes the same mistake twice and he plays the game smart. If you can't see that, then maybe you don't know football.

I don't know about him playing like Andrew Luck. Does that means he plays like Peyton Manning too? Mariota is similar to Donovan McNabb to me.

Offense don't make players smart. If that's the case, then every QB that came under Chip Kelly would have been geniuses.

Bruh, you the one that's saying he's smart, I'm still trying to understand what you mean by smart Lol

I never said offenses make a QB smart, you tugging on that...

But Mariota is a spread option quarterback and Luck is not. I don't get the comparison.

I don't look at the system like that. I look at how he plays and like Founder said, "How he handles adversity when the defense is closing in on his butt." When Luck is under pressure, he chooses the right player to pass the ball to instead of forcing a lot of balls to covered WRs. Come to think of it, Mariota's maybe smarter than Luck.

You can't play the game like Johnny Manziel and have Mariota's turnover ratio. You simply cant.

Wait, is that the only reason you compared him to Manziel? Because he won a Heisman as a Fr? Lol

Nah I compared him because of the same style of offense they run...

Johnny won the Hesiman in that same style of offense if not more advance in his FR in the SEC and I stated that this dude isn't no better than Johnny and look what all Johnny did his FR year...against tougher opponents

that's where the comparison came into play..

Did you see Luck's INT he threw on Sunday to the FS when he was under pressure, he tried to force it down the the field on that bomb...

Explain so that I can know football and know what you mean

I did. Several times. The way he seems to choose the "right" player everytime to pass the ball to. That's smart. Even when the defense is putting pressure on him and don't give him time to go through his progressions.

Evaluating QBs can be somewhat difficult when almost every play the QB is throwing from clean pocket, the WRs are open 20 yards down field and the QB really doesn't have to make many reads.
