Yall do know if you insert Chris Leak (UF old QB) or any average QB into Oregon offense their stats would look somewhat the same Lol..

Nope.

Before Mariota, the best QB Oregon had was Joey Harrington. Everyone else was good, but not great.

I threw Russ name into the mix because his stats his SR at Wis, was sub-par but he played in a pro-style offense and he's one of the top 10 QB in the NFL and you were/are going off of dude's stats this season and really not seeing if he's a product of the 'system' or if he's really a good NFL QB..and I stated you could have place Chris Leak (from UF) or any average QB and they would have thrived in that OU offense...

Put Oregon's QB in a pro-set offense where he's under the center taking 3 and 5 step drops and see if he can put up those same stats.

Dennis Dixon before he tore his ACL was tearing the league up and was on pace to win the Heisman and they were in the hunt for the ship..

remember how he went into Michigan and put on a show in the big house

What I hate about comparing QB's is that you also have to take in to consideration their offensive line, the level of play of the receivers, and how well were the corners and safeties guarding the receivers. In short all we have are numbers which can be argued. I don't compare players, I look at how they handle adversity on the field and that damn 3rd string QB from Ohio State!!!! Now that's a real player right there!!!!

First off, congrats to the Buckeyes. I didn't watch the game. It just isn't a championship game without a team from Alabama. :emlaugh: But JR . . . come on man . . . Urban Meyer is obviously a great coach, but this one game doesn't make him better than Saban.

Saban is still The Man.

And I foresee some future great games between Saban and Meyer. Nick had him beat a few weeks ago, but let him off the hook. Anyway, that's ancient history now.

You don't need to try. You can't. The dude can play football. PERIOD. And he plays like Andrew Luck. He never makes the same mistake twice and he plays the game smart. If you can't see that, then maybe you don't know football.

Great points. That 3rd stringer came off the bench and looked like the best player in the nation. Ohio State didn't dumb down their playbook for him. That kid has been preparing for his moment and took full advantage when it came.

Dude aint no better than Johnny Football and he was over-rated a bit...
 
And check out his turnover ratio to completions. It's turnovers are crazy low. He never forces the balls and ALWAYS seem to choose the right person to pass the ball to. He's going to do great in the pros.

Yep, you confirmed it. You don't know football. Johnny Manziel can't hold this dudes jock strap. Johnny isn't smart enough to play in this guy's league.
