College Football Playoff Poll

You're citing one game, I'm citing the entire season. Minnesota is flat out garbage. Ohio State's only challenge has been to Michigan State. They've played ten games and only had to get up for ONE game.
Miss. State, TCU, Baylor have played much tougher schedules. If you're telling me that Ohio State should be favored over TCU or Baylor, then you're saying the Big 10 is tougher than the Big 12. Now we all know that's not true.
And Mississippi State has played far better competition than Ohio State wouldn't you agree?

Ohio State isn't ranked over TCU or Mississippi State.

Ohio State should not even be in the top 10. The only ranked team they played is MSu and beat them but if TCU is being punished for a bad WIN against Kansas (as well as FSU being punished for struggling with mediocre ACC teams) then OSU should be punished for a BAD loss to a middle of the pack ACC team

But OSU had a brand new Redshirt Freshman QB who was playing under the lights for the first time in college. Yall know damn well that had Braxton Miller started the season, they mollywhop Va Tech. Remember the committee takes your circumstances in to consideration. Just like if FSU had lost with Winston on the sideline it would mean something.

I know folks hate on Ohio State. Don't know why since they actually treat their black folks a lot better than a lot of other schools do. But that's a different topic. LOL. They are a top 10 team this based on how all the others have played. The Big Ten is actually better this year than last year. Jerry Kill has Minnesota playing much better and Wisconsin gave up the ghost to LSU early in the season when they were winning. Even ole sorry Indiana went to Missouri and beat them. Still don't know how that happened. College football this year probably has more parity than it has had in a long while. Nobody has a dominant team and every top 10 team has flaws.

What's this got to do with race? We're discussing on the field play. If everybody had injuries that were taken into consideration, teams like Ole Miss, Oregon and others would still be undefeated. Every team has injuries so if you're taking one team's injuries into account, you got to take the rest as well.
JR, do you think the Big Ten is stronger than the Big 12? Yes or no.
And Minnesota is still sorry. LOL!!

Exactly.

Jayrob supposed to be a Big Ten guy. Makes me question if he even went to Michigan State for grad school and stayed the whole time.

Dude, just because I went to ONE Big Ten school doesn't mean that I like the entire conference. Big Ten sports had no bearing on why I went to Michigan State.
Simply put, the conference is trying it's best to get Ohio State into the top four when they're not deserving of it.

Yes I do. Big 12 sucks.

I agree.

TCU vs. Ohio State

Michigan State vs. Baylor

Wisconsin vs. Kansas State

Nebraska vs. Oklahoma

Minnesota vs. Texas

Penn State vs. West Virginia

Rutgers vs. Oklahoma State

I don't see anywhere in those matchups where the Big 12 would easily win the games.

Which goes back to my point that there are no great teams or conferences anywhere in college football this year.

You just posted the evidence. Whether the wins are easy or not, we're talking about the entire body of work for each conference.
As far as conference strength of schedule is concerned, the Big 12 ranks higher than the Big 10.

The top teams in the Big 12 are ranked higher than the Big 10 teams. Big 12 has two teams in the top six while the Big Ten has only one.
Plus odds are that West Virginia would be favored against Penn State and Oklahoma State would be favored against Rutgers. Nebraska versus Oklahoma is a toss-up as is Texas and Minnesota.

I see more wins for the Big 12 than for the Big 10.

JR was probably treated better at OSU than SU... (Ooops, let me get outta here... )

Huh? Man I lived the good life at both. SU treated me well. I was part of Uncle Sam's Navy when I was at Ohio State. They had no choice but to be nice.

Florida State Ranked 4th

This is horsecrap, I'm sorry my Noles are the only undefeated team in the nation and this disrespect we get. I guess winning all of your game don't matter in the Power 5 thats ok we will win out..:banghead::lecture:

Re: Florida State Ranked 4th

As long as they're in the top four it doesn't matter whether they're No. 1 or No. 4. The Noles beat Ga. Tech and they're in the playoffs.

I think it goes beyond just getting in. Sometimes seeding does matter for when, where and who you play.
How do teams that have lost a game jump over you when you haven't lost a game.

FSU was #2 when the initial ranking came out and Alabama was #6, Oregon was #5 and TCU was #7. Now FSU still hasn't lost a single game and the one team that was above them at that time has lost twice. The natural progression would be for the #2 team to move up without a loss instead of moving down 2 spots with teams that were behind them 3, 4 and 5 spots that had 1 loss.
