The point is there is not a consensus that LeBron is the best player in the world currently playing. An argument can be made that Kobe is or another player. LeBron's supposed greatness and where he stands in the basketball ranking of best players is being debated all over the place right now. There is no consensus that he's the best player.

Lebron has carried his team to 2 rings. The same as Kobe has carried the Lakers to being the number 1 option. He is no doubt the best player in the game. Can't knock Lebron for that. Is he a cut throat assassin on the court like Jordan and Kobe? No. That ain't his game. Not his demeanor. Mike was just mean and still is mean. LOL. Lebron is probably a guy you rather hang out with than MJ. I say that as a MJ diehard fan. Folks used to say Dr. J didn't have that killer instinct back in the day. Said he was not mean enough. But when Moses got there it changed their attitude. LOL. Dr J is my all time favorite player but sometimes people's demeanor don't allow them to be as cutthroat as they should on the court. David Robinson was like that. Avery Johnson and Tim Duncan were and when Pop took over as Coach so was he. I always said that when the Big 3 got together in Miami, that Riley should have taken over as coach. He would have pushed them harder than Spo and of course he is a better coach. Lebron may have done even more great things under Riles leadership. I wish Pat would have stepped in with that team and we would be talking about a 4 peat.

I do think Lebron would have great in the old school era too. But I still think MJ is the GOAT.
