This league is garbage...dumpster juice..and you saying John Stockton would be 2nd tier?? LOL...stop it fam...you need to do your homework on the 90s Era and understand the quality of basketball that was being played by these "GROWN MEN"...these are "KIDS" that's representing the NBA...

That's why the league is in the shape that it is in. They come up in AAU playing "me first" ball, play 1 year in college and come into the league at 18-19 years old. The ones that really pan out usually take 3-4 years before they kind of put it together (Drummond, George, Stephenson, Lillard, etc.). Drummond is going to be a consistent 20-25/12 guy for a while if Van Gundy can get Detroit back to winning. The rest of them as you said are going to be "superstars" like Blake Griffin, Melo or Kevin Love that are good and got stats but not great and can't lead their teams to anything

Bringing this back to Lebron... in his 3 Finals losses, everyone likes to point to the cast of "scrubs" in Cleveland but this year was basically a repeat of 2007. In 2011, Jason Terry got in his head and talked him right out of the series.

Jason Terry.

Bullshat...lol So you're saying Drummond will be better than BG, Melo and Love? He will lead Detroit to a title or at least to the finals?

You named 3 cats but forget there are cats like Malone (3 years), Barkley (3 years), Ewing (4 years) and Reggie Miller (4 years) who all piled up stats the same way with no titles.

Every player who came into the league over the last 40 years played AAU ball.

What confuses you?

There's no consensus that guy is the best player in the world. Maybe the best currently playing and even that's debatable.

That guy is severely over-rated especially when folks try to compare him to all-time greats like Jordan and Bird.

Well, who is a better basketball player than LeBron?

If you can take all of that from my post then I don't know what else to say. No where did I say he would lead Detroit to a title. Didn't even mention the world title. All I said was that Van Gundy would have him right if he can do the same job he did in Orlando.

Blake Griffin and Love are double double machines but most people see them as complimentary pieces not someone you would build around. It took people 11 years to see it with Melo who is one dimensional.

LOL. Folks act like cats just got fast or can leap or jump. Can you even imagine how many points a cat like George Gervin would score with these rules? Downtown Freddy Brown would be an all star in this league and be high paid because of his range. Last time I checked, Dominique's vertical was better than the majority of the league and so was David Thompson's. These cats just get caught up in the shorts the old dudes wore. Dr. J would still dunk on fools if he was 25 years old in his prime today. The only thing that would hurt the old guys would be the stretch 4s in the league. That would take some adjustments. None of them dealt with cats this tall out on the perimeter. But they would get their's in the paint when they back these skinny arse mofos down and post up. They would foul out the perimeter big men when those guys played defense. Stockton would be in Pop's offense and kill folks just like he did at Utah. Plus you could not leave him open. He would actually do better defensively in today's game because they can play zone or help more without the illegal defense calls. Back in his prime. You basically were one on one.

smh @ bighead .... I'm not a LBJ fan because dude is mentally weak but come on bro!!! Stop posting with your emotions and discrediting him lol

Shaq and that veteran team ran by Phil Jackson and the old Bulls staff carried him to 3 of those rings.

I guess LeBron needs to find somebody who can carry him to a ring then. Because last night proved that he doesn't have what it takes.

The point is there is not a consensus that LeBron is the best player in the world currently playing. An argument can be made that Kobe is or another player. LeBron's supposed greatness and where he stands in the basketball ranking of best players is being debated all over the place right now. There is no consensus that he's the best player.
