The first step would be to end all classics except the MCC, BC, SFC LDC and maybe SHC. We really need to give back to our schools and more home games to promote businesses in the surrounding areas. This would be all money in from an HBCU perspective, it helps all parties involved. Revamp our old ways over promoting games meaning less Classics, no 3rd party people at all. Make the AD's earn their keep. No need to promote the old way anymore when you can see live footage of schools and what they're about over the web? IMO classic's are a thing of the past except the traditional ones. The seed was planted in the 80's and hatched in the 90s, it withered away in the 00's. We should be reaping the benefits by bringing more excitement around campus and promoting it online. I'm glad UAPB and GSU do home and home now, all money in mentality. When PV builds its stadium they should play every game they can their even TXSO lol. Bama State need to play schools like Troy and JVSU. Their rivalry with Jackson State is growing, especially since both schools have been battling and having classic games. Cities like Huntsville, Jackson, Montgomery, Little Rock and Baton Rouge are the hidden jewels of the south. Its past time we start promoting it. A lot of those kids from up north are coming back south anyways. These cities are the key, with Houston being the money maker in the end.
Is that why there are so many FBS classics popping up lately?
