Re: Michael Jordan declines to comment on Donald Sterling allegations

Now does that even sound like MJ?

Tell the truth.

What's sickening is the length some people go to make excuses for his monkey ass.

His PR people write very well.

I personally don't care if Jordan speaks out on any social issues, especially after he's had a history of not doing so. To be disappointed that he didn't, was slow to or wasn't authentic about Sterling's comments is a waste of time.

Thank you and it just further shows what type of coward he is.

Lets see what LeBron had to say and if he's a coward too.

Re: Michael Jordan declines to comment on Donald Sterling allegations

Folks, regardless of who they are, are not obligated to speak no matter how much we might desire them to. If MJ wants to just own the Bobcats, play golf and sell products, that fine.

If he wants to speak out, no problem.

Exactly!!! If he want to keep hush hush so DAMN WHAT .

That's right When much is given much is expect applies to everyone except people favorite player or because people buy his shoes.

Using that Logic if Sterling don't won't "The Blacks" at his game so what?

Lets see what some other greats have to say about it, who actually can lose their jobs.

Let's see if they're cowards also.

Re: Michael Jordan declines to comment on Donald Sterling allegations

Jordan did release a statement.

MJ, Magic weigh in on Sterling

In his statement, Jordan said he has two different perspectives on the racist comments -- one as an owner and the other as a former player.

"As an owner, I'm obviously disgusted that a fellow team owner could hold such sickening and offensive views," Jordan said. "I'm confident that Adam Silver will make a full investigation and take appropriate action quickly. As a former player, I'm completely outraged.

"There is no room in the NBA -- or anywhere else -- for the kind of racism and hatred that Mr. Sterling allegedly expressed. I am appalled that this type of ignorance still exists within our country and at the highest levels of our sport. In a league where the majority of players are African-American, we cannot and must not tolerate discrimination at any level."

And Sterling has every right to say he doesn't want minorities at Clippers games.

Re: Michael Jordan declines to comment on Donald Sterling allegations

Jordan did release a statement.

Having your PR dept. put out a disingenuous scripted statement after the public was basically calling you out too isn't impressive.

Hell this c**n wouldn't speak out on black kids getting murdered for buying his shoes and you think that carp is sincere let alone actually from him?

Re: Michael Jordan declines to comment on Donald Sterling allegations

Why the hell was my thread merge to this?

My thread is about Michael Jordan non response not the damn clippers owner.

All this does is confused the conversation for both.

Just Fugg up a perfectly good thread.

Re: Where Cee Dog at???

JayRob seems to have somewhat of a point.
A few folk willing to overlook, ignore or feign ignorance of Sterling's racism to associate with him does not change what the masses know and accept. Maybe they didn't mind, and now it just looks too bad to ignore. I don't care who Magic calls a friend. He can call David Duke friend, and it won't change what Duke is.

Re: Clippers Owner Donald Sterling Tells Girlfriend: Don’t Bring Black People To My G

REAL Black folks just need to toss these tap dancing MFs to the wolves so they'll stop diluting our causes. Real talk.

Kendrick I would continue this conversation with you but my thread has been hijacked and outright fugged up by whatever mod decided to move it here.

Re: Where Cee Dog at???

Black folks (especially wealthy Black folks) snuggle up to and beg acceptance from racist white folks every day. That says more about Magic/CP3/etc.

It sounds like you almost feel sorry for this grease ball and want to absolve him of his wrong doing.

Dude, you done lost your mind, especially as much as I post about folks on here. You just making up stuff now.
You saying Magic, CP3, Doc and the rest of NBA players are all uncle tom's just because they may not have known how racist this man is?
If so where's the evidence?

Re: Where Cee Dog at???

The NAACP gave Sterling the lifetime achievement award months after he settled the discrimination lawsuit against him in 2009. Yeah, they knew, too.

They just removed it, so that tells me they didn't know to what degree this man's hate reached.
If as you claim that ALL of these people knew how racist this man was, you're saying the masses of people just sat around and did nothing until now?
That seems to be a slap in the face to the NBA players who yall claim knew, a slap in the face to the NAACP and a slap in the face to those in the public who didn't know HOW racist this man is.

Dude, you don't know if those folks knew or didn't know. I never saw you complain about the man until now. LOL!!

They removed the honor he was going to receive THIS year.

He still has the one he received from 2009.

You don't think the LA NAACP was aware he had been sued for racial and sexual discrimination prior to 2009? Ha!

Dude paid the largest settlement in history over that.

Again, you can't be that naïve.

I didn't do it. And without trying to throw the person who did do it "under the bus", I agree that the thread should not have been merged considering the thread count of each thread at the time.

Re: Michael Jordan declines to comment on Donald Sterling allegations

You have no respect for being black do you? You just love white people. You are sick with a complex dude.
Jordan has no dog in that fight, he should remind silent.

Re: Clippers Owner Donald Sterling Tells Girlfriend: Don’t Bring Black People To My G

If the girl friend was the one who released the tapes to TMZ, she had more balls then any to point out this bit of information to the media. I'm sure there are other rich racist Donald Sterling's in this world who have minority lovers/bed warmers, but they would rather stay silent in order to continue living a rich life style. Also, what gets me, no one has said anything about this racist old coot cheating on his wife who he has been married to for 57 years.

Has nothing to do with being naive. You seem to be blaming the victims who were the very ones being degraded in the recording.
You're saying that folks like Magic and Doc knew how racist this man was? From their reactions, seems to me they didn't know. Seems like the girlfriend was somewhat surprised at some of his comments about Black people and she was closer to him than any players or coaches.

We can be around people for years and not truly know what's in their heart of hearts. We might have an inkling of an idea, but we can't emphatically say how intense their racism goes. No one can do that except a mind reader.

Bringing that up would be too much like dodging the major issue of racism. Many men, especially NBA players, cheat and that's accepted, but racism effects the league a lot more than cheating. Cheating is between him and his wife.

The girlfriend is full of self-hate (and an opportunist) She knew that dude was racist, too.

And I'm not blaming anyone. It's just hard to believe that as tight as folks are in NBA circles, and as public as Sterling's shortcomings have been over the years, that these people didn't know he was racist.
