Re: Where Cee Dog at???

JayRob, nobody is saying that the knew/know how much hate is in the man's heart. They are simply saying that it's been common knowledge that the man is a racist. This is just the worst evidence of it to date. Dude has paid the single most amount of damages in a housing discrimination lawsuits in U.S. history. You've been shown articles outlining his racism. He's shown who he is. Believe him. Apparently, the players and coaches that go there as free agents are willing to overlook it. I'm sure they know what Baron Davis and Elgin Baylor has said.

I already agreed that the man was racist. Think I said it about five times. At the 4 minute mark, Magic said he broke bread with the man and talked with him one on one but still had no idea the man was like that.
It's one thing to know somebody's racist, but it's another thing to know how racist he/she might be.

Re: Where Cee Dog at???

Whose giving the man a pass? I think it's folks like you who claim that others knew it was THIS bad are the ones giving the man a pass. You're saying that Doc, Chris, Magic and others knew it was this bad and still wanted to associate with the owner. I don't think that those folks knew it was THIS bad.
It doesn't even seem like the girlfriend knew the man had it in for Black people to THIS degree but you guys claim that you knew. Yeah, right.

You guys claiming to know it was THIS bad are saying you know more than the players and coaches who work for the man. I highly doubt that you do.
How bad does it have to be, Jay??? Degrees of racism seem to be important to you. Is it your next door neighbor poor white trash racism that's ok to work for??? Does it have to reach Adolph Hitler type racism to say I ain't fooling with you. If certain individuals didn't know or think it, does that negate the truth. Not to me. You get sued twice for discrimination and pay out millions twice, you don't like whoever it is you're discriminating. The only difference here is that it appears to come directly from him in the worst sounding manner. I never saw Jeffrey Dahmer kill one person, but have no doubts he was a killer. With all that's gone on with this guy, I wouldn't need that video to conclude dude is as racist as they come and I wouldn't wanna deal with him.

Once you realize he's racist, what does anything else matter??? IF you are racist, you are racist. Only difference is if you have influence/power to use that racism to oppress people. A broke racist and a rich racist are both racist.

There are degrees of racism in every man's heart. Some might just call a person "nigg**" and that's as far as they're willing to go.
Then again, some might go so far as wanting to "lynch" a Black person which is far worse than calling someone "nigg**".
Magic knew the man was racist to an extent, but out of his own mouth he said he didn't know he was "like that".

Same principle with crime. There are degrees of crimes such as theft versus murder. Eventhough both are crimes, murder is far worse than theft.

A lot matters. How far is he willing to take his racism is what would matter to me. If he's all mouth, that's fine, but if he's willing to get physical, that's a whole different story.

Re: Where Cee Dog at???

That's like saying "I knew she was pregnant; I just didn't know how pregnant".

Racist means he hates your Black ass and doesn't want to see you prosper.

What he does about it is discrimination. But, racism is the same. Hatred is hatred.

Racists buy shoes too

To me that's two separate things. -

Re: Michael Jordan declines to comment on Donald Sterling allegations

Folks, regardless of who they are, are not obligated to speak no matter how much we might desire them to. If MJ wants to just own the Bobcats, play golf and sell products, that fine.

If he wants to speak out, no problem.

Was that my question or did I ask you a more direct one?

Re: Michael Jordan declines to comment on Donald Sterling allegations

If Jordan not speaking out against Sterling makes him a coward in your eyes, then he's just gonna be that to you. I guess it depends on what you expect from him, though.

Re: Where Cee Dog at???

It is. JayRob is confusing racism and discrimination. How a person feels versus what they do about it. Not the same things.

To the degree that a person feels hatred will be the degree that helps determine how far he will go in acting out that hatred. No confusion here.

Re: Michael Jordan declines to comment on Donald Sterling allegations

Jordan has no dog in that fight, he should remind silent.

Re: Michael Jordan declines to comment on Donald Sterling allegations

@JeffZillgitt: Michael Jordan: "I’m confident that Adam Silver will make a full investigation and take appropriate action quickly."

@JeffZillgitt: Michael Jordan: "As a former player, I’m completely outraged. There is no room in the NBA - or anywhere else - for the kind of racism ..."

@JeffZillgitt: Michael Jordan in statement: "As an owner, I’m obviously disgusted that a fellow team owner could hold such sickening and offensive views."

@JeffZillgitt: Michael Jordan:"In a league where the majority of players are African-American, we cannot & must not tolerate discrimination at any level”

Re: Where Cee Dog at???

The NAACP knew about it too so that's why they were preparing to give him the "lifetime achievement award", perhaps the highest award granted by the organization?
Saying the NAACP knew how serious his racism was, yet they were still willing to give this man it's highest award is a tad bit not believable.

The NAACP has been a joke for a long time, and I wouldn't put it past them to have SOLD that award to him.

Dude is a flaming bigot. Period. Degree or extent doesn't matter.

Now does that even sound like MJ?

Tell the truth.

What's sickening is the length some people go to make excuses for his monkey ass.

Agreed.

That says more about the NAACP than it does about him.

What does it say about Magic or Doc or Chris Paul? These men considered the owner a "friend". Did they know about the man's degree of racism? Seems like they didn't eventhough folks want to make like they did.

Black folks (especially wealthy Black folks) snuggle up to and beg acceptance from racist white folks every day. That says more about Magic/CP3/etc.

It sounds like you almost feel sorry for this grease ball and want to absolve him of his wrong doing.

The NAACP gave Sterling the lifetime achievement award months after he settled the discrimination lawsuit against him in 2009. Yeah, they knew, too.
