You see that part DGTM? That is the part this conference do not have behind the scenes. They are not smart, so dont expect them to do anything otherwise. We are a joke. To ourselves and to the nation.

Ain't no excuses. This APR mess is old news now. The NCAA ain't going for that.
It's not about being poor. It's about hiring lazy azz ni99as to do a very important job.
And not only are we hiring them but we're just letting them sit at a desk and not perform their duties and job description.
They lie. They cheat. They don't report accurate data. That falls on the university.
That has nothing to do with being poor.
That poor excuse played out after 2009/2010
 
Do I think we should go to Houston for the SWAC tourney? No. I don't agree with it.

But do I think all the "cheater" labels and usual Lynch Street "woe we are the victims"/"we are still butt hurt from our ban" spin is necessary? Nope but then again when you don't know better (riding the troll ship to the end).....
 
the SWAC have been changing the rules since they banned JSU from the SWAC Championship, if I wasn't banned and blocked by the SWAC I would be giving them hell

I agree. I think the NCAA will take this as "the little guy wanting to stand up and be defiant and unruly after all the help we gave them" type of thing. Even granting us time to get our acts together with an extension.

You right. Valley doesn't know better. Which is why you're banned. We gotta get these folks "to know better".
That's the only way this conference will prosper.

And have any other conferences allowed their "ineligible" teams to play in their Tournaments? If so, then maybe this is a moot point.

Too blind to see that other fans of other SWAC schools feel the same as we do.
Hell, yahoo sports. Espn and CBS feel the same way but valley folks can't see outside of JSU.
Can't hire outside of JSU either but that's for another topic.

I know about the grants, but to paint the broad brush of SWAC schools compliance offices being lazy is a wild generalization.The schools report what the SWAC conference requires. Maybe the SWAC should reevaluate the data they require and make sure it is in sync with what is needed by the NCAA instead of being renegade.

Valley folks don't need to say nothing. Remember, JSU supporters are the ones who keep ya'll slaw azz from being closed. Thousands of HBCU supporters and I marched, screamed and yelled to keep valley open, therefore, they must not say anything bad about JSU.

This banned and blocked has become a trend. Don't you think?
More and more teams each season.
It's just a SWAC problem though. IMO.
We're the only ones that's struggling with it. Other schools get hit with APR but the SWAC is just rolling around in it lol
It's like our folks in leadership are confused and are not prepared to handle it.

this is just a crying shame, the SWAC is a sinking hole, I wish Grambling was in a better position to leave this conference

We can't win in the FCS playoffs = We create a SWAC Championship game in the middle of the playoffs
We have AD that cant schedule games to fill a schedule = We create a 9 game mandate
Our teams can't meet the NCAA academic standards= We still reward them with a spot in the SWAC tourney

it's a systemic tailspin of a conference, we can't win outside of our conference, so we create events to make ourselves look more competitive instead of finding a way to build a stronger and bigger conference

I agree. And I think alot of us are starting to realize where the problem falls and with which "entities".

The SWAC would lose cause other schools are making adjustments and are successful. The NCAA can use those schools, along with the resources they're giving schools who are struggling with APR issues.
Heck, they were just on su's campus and they still couldn't get it right. Sounds like incompetence more than anything else.

We claim to have the best during the times where things are going well....but in reality the best are only measured by how they respond in times struggle. The SWAC has not responded well at all. This most certainly includes GSU. I love my school but these incompetent people are killing the school.

I have said it in the private forum and I will say it here...It is time for GSU to get new leadership and trim the fat...because right now we are so over weight until it's dangerous.
