If ya'll were smart, you would already have Comegy moved in. Alcorn does not care to beat the BAMAs. They just wanna beat JSU and SU. Comegy can win the MCC so if we get a bad coach, ya'll are a lock for the EAST. If we get a good coach, the battle will shift from JSU-AlaState to JSU-AAMU. Hire Comegy dummies!

Dude Comegy wins but it's sloppy and disfuntional period. Alcorn won I'll give you that but Moore was allowed to just fumble the ball and throw INTS each game. He was never checked. Any coach that does not pay attention to the details will and needs to be let go. We went 7-5 and 8-4. SU was not better. We turned the ball over more than any team in the nation yet we still won games. Take away all those Turnovers and it wouldn't even be close. Comegy was given 8 years but you guys want us to continue to keep him becuase you know most of the coaches in the SWAC have figured him out. Dayum that. And he didn't want to get rid of his assistants so he had to go...

You can add Grambling along with that as well. That mentality is about to change drastically. there is a renewed focus on the Bama schools after this year. I've been screaming it for over the last 5 years and I think Alcorn has finally seen the light.

That's was my point all along. The eye test was horrible. Cee Dog was right shoot I saw it with my own eyes in Huntsville. It was glaring and disfuntional on the sideline. Moore wasted possesion after possession, he was all in the refs face, and Comegy and McCall just let that ish go....Myers and Viv saw that too...You better beleive Comegy wrote this check and his azz couldn't cash it.

I know you did not see the game but bruh you are terribly wrong. Alcorn was WAY better than Jackson State this year. The game was laughable and that game is the main reason Comegy got fired. SU validated the way the JSU brass felt after that Alcorn game...they were completely disgusted at what they witnessed. It was BAD.

So knowing this, why was it a mistake for JSU to let him go? We're taking hits from the dummies at the Clarion ledger but I expect that. They don't know any better and they think a black school has no right to expect decent coaching. But you guys on this page know better. Yall see Comegy-coached teams do dumb isht and lose winnable games year after year. He had 8 years, longer than any JSU coach not named WC Gordon. Enough is enough.

I never said it was wrong. Personally I think it was a great decision. The problem is your peers from JSU are just so gong ho on ignorance no one can have a decent conversation about coaching. They think spewing ignorance is funny and good. Therefore no one can talk like educated decent adults around here.

It kills me that so many people defend Comegy being fired because he won games. But aren't we suppose to be mearsuring coaches off championships. Not just getting there and losing. How many of our schools have let their coaches go due to "not" winning championships? Coach Comegy is a good coach. I won't take that away from him. But he didn't even take JSU to the ceiling of the SWAC! He might have reached his ceiling, but not JSU. He was a great coach when you look back at the **** years and compare, but do everyone that is against JSU's decision to let him go think we can't do better????

I think it was time for Comegy, Jones and Barlow to go. All three had teams over the last 10 years that should have won inside and outside of the SWAC and all three failed. All three took and take their fans for granted. The fans have spoken at two of our schools. One is left....

That's the problem...you JSU people work off the damn IF factor to damn much. Shit Comegy was the best coach in the SWAC..hell the reason you all did not win against SU was simple...the young receiver did not watch his footing.

- You recruit players to fit your system. If you think a new coach is just going to come in and run the spread read-option, you have another thing coming. It also doesn't help the fact that will have to break in a new QB (and yes, I realize Ivy was the starter before Moore, but time off causes you to relapse. It also doesn't help Ivy's case that he will battling Tevin Chapman, etc. who is a senior. The new system may benefit Chapman more than Ivy because Chapman may catch on quicker).

I guess they are blaming Comegy for that. They sure weren't downing Comegy before yesterday, black people will throw you under a bus in a heartbeat. It was dudes fault they lost the championship and Comegy's assistants not Comegy smh.

The fact that you don't know the #2 QB this year is glaring it was not Chatman....And you're thinking is small...
JSU folks all know about Comegy and preperation. The player stepping out is a part of player awareness and lack of discipline...5 possessions and not imagaination on offense every game. No urgency in and out of the huddle, running into kickers not just in this game. Never ever covering the kickoff. This was the best year for that but most years teams starting from the 35-50 yard line...It's not just wins folks. If other coaches can get this even Carl Morgan, why can't Comegy coached teams look the part and win. The judge just lost games and got beat after year one. Comegy just never game planned for the other team. We just gone do what we do. If they stop it we have no plan to adjust. No counter plays when they stop us. Everyone of you guys hated Comegy ball but now we shouldn't let him go for fear of another bell...Gram hooked up Doug again and let his Son play that why he was their version of Bell. SU didn't do a real search either. Sometime you make a good call in business and it works. let's just let it play out..

It's not about what we think y'all attitude about championships. I'm sure everybody wants to win. This is about our level of tolerance for an inability to win it, and the overall product. We are spoiled rotten since W.C. Gorden. Going from 8 in the 80's to 3 in the 90's to one in the 2000, does not sit well. Hughes couldn't win. Gone. **** lost. Bye!!! Been 6 years and counting now. So long!!! And then to see game after game of the same piss poor play that managed to get by is tiring. I know I was tired of bitching about the offensive game plan and defensive schemes. Win or lose, it sucked.
