I can't believe all these lames are trying their best to blame JSU for Grams bullshat. Like if we was angry, we don't have a right to be angry. Some of ya'll would make a retarded person look like a M.I.T Honors Grad when it comes to common sense. :lol:

Can't speak for anyone else, but if JSU decided to sue Grambling, we'd be within our rights. The only reason not to is if the conference prohibits member schools from suing each other.

Ok, what part of "loss of revenue" you don't understand?? Because Grambling couldn't control its own players, JSU lost revenue. Where do you think the money to refund those tickets will come from?

2. Where's the double talk? JSU Homecoming was fine along the lines of school spirit and Love for JSU. But that has nothing to do with the $$$. I can't understand why y'all can't separate the two.

I'm sure the University didn't expect the number of people that came anyway to come, after the game was officially cancelled. Many tailgaters had already paid for their spots. But the school would have been crazy to charge game day general parking prices when there was no game. The school did the best it thought it could on such short notice.

We are fine in the sense that the fans had a nice time(though not the time they expected), and we were still able to pull off something for homecoming. So that's great for our alumni. But the INSTITUTION isn't fine because we still have that big financial loss to deal with. Now are you saying we just say "oh well" and eat that ourselves? Or do we use any means available to us to recoup that loss?

Did JSU even receive a full 24 hour notice? The word I kept getting on Friday was, "If Gram players don't get on the bus by 2pm they forfeiting", then it was, "if they aren't on the bus by 4pm they not coming".

The fans who purchased tickets paid to see JSU vs. Grambling, not a scrimmage.
 
It's the INSTITUTION fault to not have thought out a plan...you can't sue GSU about the ordeal lol...you knew about what could have been all week leading up to the situation lol...should have been prepared..that's what business-minded folks do..stay prepared for things such as this...

That alone shows your lack of long term business sense, lack of intelligence, and lack of vision for the future by treating your long term customers and alumni with simple respect.

On Thursday, grambling's president assured JSU that the game was going forward. It wasnt until Friday afternoon that they informed us of the forfeit.

Naw dude. You are purposely playing dumb. We the JSU posters on this board don't give two shits about what some tee shirt hawkers or vendors do. We are talking about Jackson State University and its right to take action. If those others feel they got a claim, good luck to 'em. JSU is separate and distinct from them. The homecoming game brings a lot of money to JSU. The game wasn't played because of the opponent. JSU didn't make the money it usually makes on the homecoming game. And please don't come like these dumb azz couple of su posters questioning why JSU didn't charge to park for a non-event. Whether JSU does anything is up to the school. But please believe the school can if it so chose.
