I'm speechless...

They complained about Ragsdale...the administration called their bluff and fired Rags
Now what??? Whats the problem now??? Uuuuuuuh, we dont get no food....we dont like long trips

"Well you dont have anymore long trips left. So whats your complaint now?"

Its all on Sharpe now. Lets see how he punished Grambling for this.

If Grambling is allowed to play in the BC, JSU should absolutely leave the conference.

WORD!!!

We'll just have to agree to disagree. When you've had enough, you've had enough. This is bigger than any football game. It got the attention of the administration, the SWAC, and national attention. It will also highlight Jindal's budget cuts. Regardless of which game they decided to do this at, there will be collateral damage. Either you hurt the side vendors in Jackson, or the side vendors in Grambling.

If you remember when I left the Comp Sci department at SU, it wasn't at the most "convenient" time either. I left right in the middle of a semester, 2 weeks after the other network admin left, and left them with nobody. I'd had enough, and when limits are reached, you really don't give a damn about how it affects others. With all the turmoil at Grambling, do you really think their football team care about the collateral damage in Jackson?

I ain't agreeing to disagree, I will agree that i am right. You left for something better. I understand that and agree with that. But with this, it is different. It would be one thing if they had another long road trip left and was complain about that, but the longest trip they have left is the Bayou Classic. The other 2 (Jackson and Pine Bluff are <150 miles) They asked the interm coach be fired and they got that, so the admin is responding to them. They do not have a plan to put a hilite on Jindal, and Jindal is much to shrewd to take this lick, he gonna turn in around and put it on Gramblings incompetence, so it aint that. The damage they are causing will easily exceed what they are going to gain mostly to people that had nothing to do with this. Maybe I am wrong because I expect educated people to do better.

You say, "don't give a damn about how it affects others", well they are complaining about how someone treated them and didn't keep their commitments, but they turn around and don't fulfill there commitments, well that just make you them.

I would even have more sympathy if the administration did nothing. But they gave them their first demand. THINK ABOUT IT, THAT COACH LOST HIS JOB. That is major right there, and they still would not negotiate.

Its something else going on here.

They want Doug back.

I have a question for EVERY LAST ONE of you UPPITY house niggroes in here dissing these kids and college age students in general: Do you not desire progress in the Black community? Why does the current generation have to struggle the same way you did? Do you not see any value in progressing as a people?

There's no point in HBCUs existing if we're going to live proud of substandard mediocrity all our lives. Burn down the got damn schools and turn endowments over to the State. It's all for nothing if that's how it's supposed to be.

"Kids these days got it good!"

You should be DAMN PROUD of that, but instead you bytch and complain that these kids aren't struggling like YOU did.

And y'all helped RAISE this generation. So what does that make you? A hypocritical jungle monkey shouting from that high horse.

Pathetic. Just got damn pathetic! :shame:

It sounds like a lack of institutional control and who is really in-charge.

In that case, Doug is using the team to bully the administration, because those are his recruits. I guess he doesn't see a future in the NFL.

I do not think that Doug is using the team but the team see's Doug as the only one at GSU that was trying to spearhead improvement.

I wouldn't be surprised if SACS comes calling Grambling like they did at FAMU after the hazing murder. I pray not.

Did I not tell yall to go ahead and plan for a scrimmage? Wow the horror of it all :smh:

If I were JSU I wouldnt do a scrimmage....maybe just introduce the players to the crowd and let them have a little shine. Maybe do a little arm up and go thru some motions but I damn sure wouldnt do a scrimmage of any sort. Just take the week off and be fresh for PV

PREACH THE WORD 2KOOL!!! THEY ARE BLIND AND NEED TO SEE!!!!

That's because they are his recruits. A lot of those kids selected Grambling because of Doug's somewhat celebrity status. Being the only Black QB to win a Super Bowl speaks volumes for a lot of Black kids that play football.

Every other swac school on this thread seem to be defending gram just because its another chance to go against JSU. If this was yalls homecoming im sure yall would be pissed too. The gram players may have some real issues but i think at the end of the day they just QUIT because they are losing. If they had a winning record under the same circumstances at the university would they be "taking a stance" BS these fellas just quit and trying to use pre existing conditions as the scapegoat. Money lost because some punks can't take losing anymore, did they every consider the JSU fan who flew in, spent money, took off work etc. Selfish!!

So they should think about JSU fans?

That sounds more selfish than what you're accusing the players of.

They quit because they were losing and heading to JSU. All this bullshit about Jindahl and money food and weightrooms is a bunch of bull. Alcorn made them quit and aint noway they were going to face JacksonState.
