4 Star Cameron Sims

What is up with ole miss getting these players...goodness

It's Hugh Freeze right now. As soon as he messes around and beats somebody big in the SEC or has another good season. Some big school will take him. If I am the University of Texas and Mack Brown underachieves again, I would not be shocked to see them go after him or a Charlie Strong.
Ole Miss success will be short lived like it always have. They simply will never have ENOUGH money to keep a great coach. They are Ms rich. But they ain't like Bama, LSU, Florida, A&M where they can break banks for major coaches. Freeze is setting himself up sweet provided the program don't get caught doing something illegal. I thought Dan Mullen was on that track at Ms State. But he had a drop off somewhat last year. He better take the next big job offer he can get too. Those schools in our state will just never be able to consistently win against those bigger and more traditional SEC powers. Now if there was ONE big SEC school in the state, they would have a better chance. But we know that ain't happening. LOL.

It is over with for dan mullen....if he was going to leave he should have been left. He is an average coach in the sec and last year had everybody hyped about that "undefeated" lil run they had going on. Then messed around and lost to ole miss and lost the bowl game smh. Ole miss came closer to knocking those big boys off than msu but neither will go to the championship. They should merge, but like alcorn, jsu, and valley; they have a very proud fan base that despise each other lol. If they combined forces, they would be good. Imagine Ole Mississippi State. :lmao: :lmao:

If he is smart, he wouldn't touch Ole Miss with a 10 foot pole. He would be better off playing for Nick if he is SEC bound. Actually even Okie State is better for him WR wise.

yeah playing for Ole Miss has really hurt Donte Moncrief, who is OBLITERATING SEC defenses, and I don't even like Ole Miss.

JR, you are being a bit blinded by the hate on this one. LOL. Dexter McLuster, Tay Biddle and ya boy (until this year) Mike Wallace have all had decent NFL careers. And there are countless others who've had a shot like Shay Hodge. All were productive WR's at Ole Miss. And Moncrief will be a 1st or 2nd Round pick if he balls out this year like he did last year. I don't care for OM or State that much, but I root for them because I root for the MS kids.

And btw,

Why are you selling SU short. Dude has SU #1 on his list and said SU always been his favorite team since a youngster.

Nope. He would be wasting his time at Ole Miss. Dexter is struggling at KC and we will see how long he lasts with Andy Reid. Mike Wallace didn't even like Ole Miss himself. LOL. You saying a shot. I am talking about being a star on a team that has a chance to win their conference. Yall can be fooled all you want by this last recruiting class or so by Ole Miss. But they ain't going to win the SEC in football again. You may never see it in your lifetime. So excuse me if I think that kid would be better off with Nick Saban than on Ole Piss campus. Hugh Freeze ain't going to even be there to see the kid through his career. Another decent year there and Freeze is gone. If the kid really wants to go somewhere that WRs get the ball a lot, then he should go the UGA under Mark Richt or somewhere in the PAC 12. But let's not act like Ole Miss is WR University for the NFL. Even NFL scouts if they could advise this kid would not tell him to go to Ole Miss over Bama.

Now I hope the kid heads to SU. But I know more than likely he is going to FBS land so if he is smart, he goes to a program that has a better track record at WR than Ole Miss.

Stop it V. I was responding to DGTM's that he was leaning towards Ole Miss comment. This has nothing to do with him having SU on his list or who his favorite team was growing up. I am sure that can be said for a lot of these kids who have ties to HBCUs but we know what happens once those big schools come a knocking. So IF and I am saying IF the kid decides to go FBS then he is foolish if he picks Ole Miss over Alabama in my mind. That is all I am talking about. It ain't about selling SU short. Sheesh.

It ain't what Moncrief is doing at Ole Miss. He ain't going to win a SEC title there. I am sure Amari Cooper is jealous of what Moncrief is doing at Ole Miss. See where I am going with this. Cooper probably is going to still be a first round pic and his team is not only a conference champion, but a National champion. And I say that as a non SEC fan. Just saying IF this kid wants to play in the SEC and win, then he would choose Bama or even UGA over Ole Miss. If he is that good, he will still get to the NFL. At Ole Miss, all he can achieve is a NFL shot IF they can retain their coach after this year.

My point is they are in the NFL. There are tons of WR's who went to LSU and Bama who didn't get to sniff the NFL and didn't get the production they would've liked to in college. But that's subjective thinking anyway. You don't know what a young man values and looks at in his recruiting process.

A little off topic. I am really interested to see how Ole Miss is going to fair against Texas. The way Texas humiliated them last year, it should be one of the games Freeze circled on his calendar.......

OM might stay within 3 TDs this year.

Shid, Freeze may be auditioning for the Texas job in that game. If I was the Texas AD and boosters. I would keep a good eye on Freeze.
