I just take my hat of to the young man and his parents for keeping SU in the mix. Gotta love that. So much class.

Just hope IF he don't come to SU that he don't go to Ole Piss.

Now if he does roll to SU. Can you imagine the hoopla that will follow. Might score other kids since he is committing on the 24. But you know as soon as he says SU on the 24th. All of a sudden he ain't going to be a 4 star player in them other folks minds publicly but will still be in the background trying to get him to change his mind on signing day. I wish the young man the best and appreciate the fact he has SU as his number choice. Can't be mad at that.

I agree but with the talent that Louisiana has this recruiting class dwight folks don't seem to be mad. I've actually read a few good things on 247sports lsu site and he don't even have them in the mix. I hope if he does choose SU he can bring some more folks in the mix with him.

I agree.....I don't have the Longhorn Network so hopefully it will be shown on another station too or ESPN3 (though I'm not big at sitting at the computer and watching a game). I will definitely be watching S.U. vs u of h on ESPN3.

I think the fact that we are playing Georgia should bring us some good nice talent....I hope he gives SU a chance.....Him coming in and we having a Soph. QB coming in too...and Baker..that class can be special LOL

Lsu didn't even offer him. He ran a bad 40 time at one of their camps as a freshmen and they fell off him. Lsu is not even in the mix. Yet.....I hope he don't fall for the last minute okie doke by Lsu.
 
Who will have the first 4 star player in their program 'playing'..This could open the gates...

I remember making a thread stating if I had a kid (QB) and he was a 5 star kid coming out..I would send him to SU or an HBCU and I caught alot of flak for that shat...LOL...and I was saying if the dude is good to put up numbers at your big schools..he will be good enough to put up those same numbers at your small schools...He will be "Seen" by somebody...don't matter...where he goes...yea I caught it in my days and I said "Just Keep Living' your 5, 4, stars will start coming back to this conference...this is a small step in a sense..

It's not always where you want them to go. It's where the kid wants to go. I would not send my kids somewhere they don't really want to be. They won't reach their full potential that way. But if you start with them from day one- instilling in them an appreciation for HBCU's and admiration for Black college sports, then you have a chance. Landing a 4-star is not impossible, I'd say, but it's a bold move by that kid. Everyone's going to be watching. I think Tenn. State signed a 4-star recruit a couple of years ago. I could be wrong. I don't put much stock in "stars". It's all for fan fare and has no direct impact on the success of the team.

If one of my boys was to be highly touted, all I would ask is that they keep JSU in their Top 5, and take an unofficial visit to the campus. Even if they're not considering JSU.

Honestly, I don't think those folks at LSU even think or care about what happens at S.U. when it comes to football. Now, I believe they have their good eye on Banks though.
