MH knows this. He's trying to avoid the sports board this morning just like the rest of the Bama State folks. They thought the truth wouldn't come out.
Where's MH, FAB5, JC, Bamastatespirit, MACBFAC? It's mighty interesting that ALL are MIA right now. This is so sad though.:smh:

Once again the Jstate folks ruin another thread.

Now that the white folks are fixing up that stadium, I think they need to pass some legislation to name it Comegy Stadium. He has to be the coach with the highest winning percentage in that stadium and he won the very last game ASU played there. Hook the man up..

The game should have been at Hornet Stadium. Why was the Crampton picked over ASU new stadium? Thats backwards to me....

That's the same thing I said.

then I went on to wonder (out loud) will Hornet Stadium (thanks) ever get any business since the City put over $10million into renovations at Crampton. :noidea:

ummm,
The group that is putting on this bowl game is not the same group that approached ASU a couple of months ago. This group had been working with the City of Montgomery and the City of Montgomery is paying over 200K a year to put this game on. The City of Montgomery owns Cramton Bowl, not ASU's Stadium

So what happened to the group that approached ASU a couple of months ago? Why did the other group trump the group that approached ASU. Also since ASU has the better stadium, why didn't the second group approach ASU? Hornet Stadium is light years ahead of Crampton, just seems like to me they didnt want to do business with ASU in the first place. People hate blacks so much that they would rather play in something dusty than something new. Thats like Having the SCG in the Astrodome instead of Reliant.

The group putting on the game is being backed by E$PN.

again, that group was working with the city. Don't you think its logical to think if the city is putting up money to put on a game, and the city has a stadium (recently renovated at that) they want it in their own stadium?

Basically a sweetheart deal, 225,000, free use of Cramton Bowl, and a 2500 ticket max per school.....Bama State could not do all of that ....

And that is going to be the unfair crutch in this "competition" for revenue. The City of Montgomery can float free stuff and give all kinds of breaks. They will make it back up with people spending their money in the city of Montgomery for 3 or 4 days along with the money kicked in by corporate sponsers. Bamma State don't have those kinds of incentives to toss around.

But why didn't the city do any of this during the 40 years Bama State was playing at the Crampton? Soon as Bama State leaves, the doors suddenly open and major upgrades suddenly appear with millions of dollars coming out of thin air for those upgrades.
Sounds racist to me? Are Black folks running the city council in Montgomery? Surely they can't be.

1. Taking their proposal to S.C. which is smart...2 bowls in one city played that close together wouldn't fly.

2. Cramton's recent reno plus the city's added perks i.e. $$$$$

3. Could be a factor but Dwight Mann will never admit it.

So basically ya'll never stood a chance? :smh: GOOD!

Back in 2004, Bama State was going to give the city the money to renovate Cramton Bowl, all Bama State wanted in return was their name on the stadium......The city council voted no on the name change, and that vote probably would have kept us there permanently.... Six years later Bama State decided to bring the Hornets home....

..and SOON as ya'll made that decisions, the city sent to cleaning crew in and put some real money into the upgrades.

The upgrades weren't that spectacular..... All they did was build a new press box, update the concession area and did some painting......

And THAT was the clincher for the Sun Belt to choose Cramton over Bama State? Hmmm, interesting indeed.

compared to the old press box with no elevator and a ladder just to get to the top floor...that was spectacular

plus they added some type of arena

Josh Moon really raked Bama State over the coals in that article. Wonder what he has against Bama State. His stories are really hard on Bama State.....REALLY hard and he don't pull no punches.

Huh?! Rant?! So all he printed isn't true?
You don't care about your own students being taxed a tithe two weeks before classes?
You don't care about having to pay 700,000 dollars to an ex-President to keep his mouth shut?
You don't care about Bama State staff pocketing student grant money?
You don't care about the massive auditing being conducted by two major entities for widespread fraud?
You don't care about the repercussions of the investigation?
You don't care about the sexual abuse case involving three Bama State ex-staffers?
You don't care that this Knight guy still has a job at Bama State?
You don't care about how even a fraction of this makes Bama State look?

Really?!
