BIRMINGHAM, Alabama -- The city of Montgomery has landed an ESPN-owned bowl game pairing the Sun Belt against the Mid-American Conference, according to industry sources with knowledge of the information. An announcement will be made this afternoon in Montgomery.

The game will be owned by ESPN Regional Television and begin in 2014 at the Cramton Bowl. The contract is a six-year deal.

The bowl becomes the third in Alabama, joining games in Birmingham and Mobile. Initially, the Legends Bowl Group expressed interest in a game at Alabama State in Montgomery, but moved on to efforts in Charleston, S.C., after ESPN moved on creating a Montgomery game.

Cee - to be honest, I think this one is our fault. Until the issues are address that were raised by the last president, the stadium will not reach its full revenue potential. Either people go to jail / dismissed etc... or its proven that nothing was wrong. I am waiting for the process to complete.
