You picked the wrong thread to post that, cause reading through this thread, it's easy to see your own folks got it off track.

easy here,
MVSU would be the logical choice since the other 8 schools already have established rivalries within their respective states...........TSU-PV, GSU-SU, JSU-ALCORN, ASU-AAMU ...........UAPB-MVSU would be the one........
hmmm......
That's a thought that I hadn't "thought" of. All I need is the slightest reason, excuse to go to Memphis. LOL
Gate.Left.Wide.Open.
But I am going to take the high road....this time.
I went to Little Rock in April. If you want to take US 425 to Pine Bluff...just get ready to do a lot of speeding up and slowing down.
We went up 425 and were miserable.
So I suggest from Baton Rouge...take US 61 all the way to Vicksburg, hop on I-20 West and get off on US 65 in Tallullah and ride 65 all the way to Pine Bluff. 65 opens up to 4-lane highway in Lake Village.
I say that because 65 between Ferriday and Tallullah is 2-lane road of nothing with a lot of speeding-up-and-slowing-down between those little country towns.

Does every thread have to turn into a JSU thread? I really believe that to deny SU posters the letters J-S-U would be the equivalent of denying a fish water.

The way they beat su I would think it was them.
The way Pine Bluff whooped yall, it really didn't matter what road or dirt path you all was on. I think they have taken you alls's #2 spot in the west behind PV.
I guess you forgot the 64 - 36 beat down Pine Bluff put on yall in Jackson in 2005

Now that I think of it...yea you right. Call it the Delta classic MVSUAPB
Sorry, Lioness. I have to agree with Journalist on this one. This is the way I would go. Slowing down and speeding up in those little towns is a pain. Though I did get a kick out of reading the populations of those little towns. I guess that was a way for me to help pass the time.
I too enjoy visiting Memphis but the drive down to Pine Bluff and back is long. If you are located east of the MS River, there are only 3 crossings available, Vicksburg, Greenville, or Memphis. I can't figure out why NW MS and SE ARK are not connected by a bridge.

Dont go to Vicksburg
...You have been warned
4. Lula (across the bridge from West Helena).
I don't know what it will take to get some type of rivalry built up between UAPB and Valley seeing as that they are well under 3 hours from each other. I know it's less than likely but someone suggested it on here a while back and I kind of agreed with it. If the only time our games against each other are packed is Homecoming then we could possibly move it to Memphis and make it into a classic or something.
And I agree with what someone said. 2-3 hours is a turnaround trip. We've done that a few times against Alcorn. I made the mistake one time of trying a turn around trip from Huntsville. Almost died twice in northeast Mississippi lol
It will never be a rivalry between PB and Valley. People at Valley look forward to playing JSU and Alcorn before PB. I dont see why its that hard to understand, people in PB are not thinking about Valley like that. Thats why it has never been a consistent classic between the two....
Wow. The series match-up between PB and Valley are akin to Southern and JSU.
PB leads Valley by one game, 22-21.
Pine Bluff vs. The Valley is a natural rivalry.
The problem is they both are nobodies. Who wants a rivaly with a nobody?
