Since I have been a member of the Golden Lion Family
Southern and Grambling has always been a big game for
us but I think JSU has made that cut these past few years....

JSU always wants to make themselves relevant. What's up with the rooms for the SU/PB game. All the rooms are blocked off. :smh: you can't get a room in PB that weekend. They always do that when SU plays PB :lol: , and then a couple of weeks before the game they open the rooms up.

I think from a travel standpoint, UAPB fans seem to like playing JSU.. they roll deep to Jackson and the bands typically visit each other.

i just got off the phone with one hotel and the lady said they are booked. So I assume that most of the rooms are gone. :smh: Likely will miss this game if that is the case. I don't want to stay in Little Rock either.

ya'll acting like Pine Bluff full of hotels anyway. They about the size of Grambling. LOL I know LR is a lil further out but thats your best bet if you wanna spend the night.. heck, Im sure its busses going.. that might be the option I would take.

Monticello is 30 minutes south of PB. They have rooms. It's on the way.

Jag-BR, at one of our basketball games this past season, it was announced we would play Southern for homecoming. About a week later, our finalized schedule came out. When that happened, the hotels were immediately booked. By the first of April, there were no hotels available in PB during the week of homecoming.
From Little Rock, it takes me approximately 6 hours to get to BR (Southern U campus), so from PB, you're looking at about 5.5 hours. The game starts at 2:30pm and will probably end close to 5:30pm. Factor in the traffic, and anyone going back to BR should be back home around 11:30pm or midnight.

It's funny how Pine Bluff is probably twice as big as Ruston, LA, but have about the same number of hotels.
