Wasn't the basketball coach hired before he got there?

His hire of the football coach has yet to be determined as a comeback feature.

This guy is basing their success off their team success as he has no data to support what a fanbase thinks (outside of Internet forums) nor corporate sponsorship numbers

Well, since you opened the door, I'll bite.
Let's look at the current facts. The author claims that Broussard has been a success but look where su sports finished in the commissioners cup. In LAST place in the West on the men's side. If not for the women in tennis....which has a coach he didn't hire, their sports program is struggling mightily.

It's quite obvious this author doesn't know what the heck he's talking about and hasn't done his homework.
The football coached finished 4-7 yet the author considers that a success?! COME ON MAN!!

If anything, I'd give PV's AD or Valley's AD more credit than Broussard. The author really goofed up on this one.

He is looking at more than the commish's cup's standings. Broussard hasn't been there long enough to see an improvement there. Broussard has been lauded by the La press outside of The Advocate as well for the job he is doing. I guess if somebody white said it, then you will believe he is doing a good job. Folks are looking at how he is handling business. Getting corporate sponsorship. Interacting with the Alumni and being more accessible than most ADs are. One that is willing to ANSWER questions instead of just having a press conference with no way you can ask anything. Dude is bringing a fresh new approach to how our ADs in the SWAC have been. You just choose to belittle the cat. I know one thing, your AD shole loves some our AD. Ask her what she thinks of Broussard.

You don't get it do you. First of all SU didn't field enough Men's teams to do make a dent in the point system. Our baseball team just won the West, our basketball team won the SWAC tourney and the Men's track team finished in the middle of the pack. The football team had the worse time of it but still didn't finish last in the SWAC. So you do the math. That should tell you that we didn't have enough Men's sports. Broussard is working to rectify what the past AD did. It will take him more than a year and half to totally turn it around. But folks are taking notice of how he goes about his business. You don't interact with the dude or know the people who do who think he is on point. So your opinion don't matter. LOL. Obviously the black and white press members think he is on to something. They never said isht good about our last AD. So why now?

Jayrob has no clue. He hasn't looked at anything but the commish cup standings. ADs do more than help hire and fire coaches. Wasn't Broussard's fault the coaches already in place that under performed. He has gotten rid of Stump, the volleyball, bowling and now softball coach within the last 12 months for under performing.

One fact off the bat. Our AD has not brought a civil lawsuit to our university due to inappropriate behavior. That alone may cost your beloved alma mater money you don't need to pay.

Man, I took a page outta yours and MH book by taking the high road. You gotta consider the source when dealing with that intoxicated primate. Dr. Broussard came in with a plan to right the ship and I know a few folks were skeptical of his abilities, age, experience and what not, but in speaking with him in person and via fb, he has the ship heading in the right direction. Very approachable and hands on as well. Not too many AD's would be out during the night before homecoming to ensure traffic is flowing and parking was adequate.
 
The author is not concerned about the winning record but how Dr. Broussard is rejuvenating SU's athletic department by making enhancements that will payoff in the future.

FYI...this is not about JSU...lol

He is a dynamic young but seasoned AD. He has my full endorsement. :tup:
 
They will see in a year or two when all the behind the scenes things Broussard is doing takes effect. Stop hating JROB

If you have an Athletic Director who is in the business of reaching out to alumni and the fanbase, bringing in funds to the Athletic Dept, making sure that the athletic dept and academics are in a good light and is actively concern about WINS and LOSSES on the field and in the accounting books then that is a good AD......if thats what SU has then :clap: consider yourselves lucky!
