Baylor head coach Kim Mulkey seems to think that Prairie View head coach Toyelle Wilson should get a pay raise for getting her team to the big dance three consecutive years.

“As I told their coach before the game, if she hasn’t gotten a pay raise, she needs to find another job. She’s been to the tournament three straight years and that program had only been to the tournament two years prior to that. She’s done one heck of a job with her basketball program. Give those guys credit."

Along with 33 points, 10 rebounds and six blocked shots, Baylor’s Brittney Griner added her 15th career dunk. Wilson, in an attempt to keep her team up beat, tried to get them to look at Griner’s dunk on the bright side of things.

“When Brittney had dunked I called a time out and said ‘at least it wasn’t on anybody.’â€￾

  :lmao:

I could not agree more. The Baylor coach, a former star player at Louisiana Tech, knows a thing or two about women's hoops.

LMAOOOO.. that sounds like something I would have told my kids

Good to see coach Wilson recognized for doing a lot with little resources.

True. I hope she gets what she may be seeking in the near future.

Also, I hope our Prairie View alum Cynthia Cooper-Dyke receives an opportunity to coach @ USC. I'd certainly look forward to our lady panthers traveling there to do battle w/ the mighty trojan women on the hardwood. And getting that nice fat check that comes w/ the beatdown. lol

(p88) get thee behind us...just a damn shame the way you hate on us...keep praying CCD leave us just keep praying!

#1, if C-Coop-Dyke was @ PVAMU I'd have wished the same thing for her and by year #3 @ PVAMU, I just KNEW she was going to head in that direction instead of UNCW, which was shocking but I was happy for her, no ill feelings towards her and obviously PVAMU hasn't dropped off as far as the big dance is concerned.

Uh................is she staying forever? Will she attempt to chase a shot at the Final Four? Or, is she confident that she can reach that goal at sTu? Now, being the high-profile name in women's hoops that she is, if she is cool with riding off into the sunset at sTu, then so be it. Wish you guys well with that.

Should Cooper leave Texas Southern tomorrow then more power to her as we wish her the best of luck leading her next program. She's done what was expected of her and leaving us in a better situation as to where we were before she got here (you can't fault her or wish her no ill will).

PostS were edited because they were inappropriate. Is there a problem?

OK, point taken. Let's end the back and forth here right now and focus on the topic at hand....PLEASE.

If you'll go back and look at her post (check the time I edited her post as well you'll notice she was corrected BEFORE your post was).

See how you got me in trouble...Toyelle is going to Baylor as a high paid asst...last I heard or hold on it might be that when Coop leave for USC Toyelle comes over to Texas Southern as a higher paid head coach, I'm old I get things mixed up!:emlaugh:

I agree with that. We all have to realize that if we do snag a big name coach from time to time, its only a matter of time before they bolt to something better. You guys gave Coach Davis another shot at wearing his whistle, but I know he will high tail his azz outta there as soon as the next good opportunity comes. This was a guy who felt the rush of coaching in sold out arenas all over the country. And surely for him, playing on a Monday night in front of 150 people aint where its at. We just have to hope they give us something special during the time they are here.
