We gonna beat the brakes off the Braves. Luther had that team going downhill by the end of the season. He is gonna need to keep bringing in talent down there to keep up. Brent gonna beat ya'll but so would Anderson had he stayed. Anderson went from almost last in the SWAC to #4 over all and a #2 seeding in the SWAC tourney by default. Where was Luther? Luther had a better team that Anderson last year but Anderson got his team better while Luther stayed the same or got worse.

Well I hope Luther gets it together. We depended on one player too much. Both guys can recruit and both are winning coaches. I know Brent is going to do well and so is Luther. Im wondering if that guard from C-Way is gonna come to JSU now since Brent is there?

Mississippi High school basketball is overated.... winning a championship there doesnt show me anything.

Evidently the championships means something to the kid's family, friends, the community and college recruiters, because they are always in attendance at the games.

Winning championships is not about showing you anything, you are not worthy, it's about the kids and their dedication to the game.

Hmmm, I don't think this is going to work out well. High school state championships does not normally translate into a successful college basketball coach.....we'll see though...

Let's see, Ole Miss won the SEC and made the NCAA tournament. Alabama and Auburn did what this year?:noidea:
JSU put Bama State out of the SWAC playoffs. Anything else you need to know?

I think he's just sour because the "basketball school" was a piece of sh*t this year.
Far less talented than a mississippi "highschool basketball" team

Who cares about JSU? Seriously. :noidea:

Snickering!

I don't even know why SUJagtil brough up being an asst at Ole they have always been thrash until this one lucky year and I don't believe your new coach was on the staff of this years team so it is irrelevant to the point!

Am I telling the truth?

I think valid points can be made for either side. We have great individual talents but not great teams. Our high school teams go out of state and don't always fare to well, but that's because they are community schools playing against basketball factories. we dont have diploma mills. Piney Woods tried but the MHSAA shut that down. So in that sense a championship might not be that impressive. But in any given year, MS's AAU squads old up against anybody. I'm looking at it objectively.

Ironically the best players to ever hoop at Bama and go on to the NBA are Mississippians: Mo Williams, James "Hollywood" Robinson, Derrick McKey and Antonio McDyess.

Im not understanding the logic... the best players in the state DONT go to Alabama or Auburn has 3 players from the state on their team... Our best players LEAVE the state... most go to ACC schools. Another example our best two players this year DeRunnya Wilson and Jeremy Johnson arent even playing basketball in college. DeRunnya Wilson has a football scholarship to Ms State and Jeremy Johnson was Mr. Football and the number 5 qb in the nation at Carver.

Whats the use man.
***** are so scared to try something new, no wonder why we get left in the dust in everything. And it's not just the posters from other schools. Some of these JSU posters are jusrt as closed minded as the rest.

These mofos talking about Brent ain't gonna do shat 4 years from now and the man ain't took a good shat in a JSU bathroom yet. :smh: &

Because ya'll always talking about some damm "college coaching experience" everytime a new hire is made. Now everybody want to find fault with that as if any of our basketball coaches have lit up the world before they got to our schools.
