Why are you satisfied with hiding behind the SWAC? If we are HBCU of the Year, then dammit, we need to prove it against an OOC HBCU Game.

JSU plays TN State Every Year.

SU vs. FAMU is a good rivalry.

Alabama State has Tuskegee.

Pine Bluff has Langston.

Alabama A&M has Tuskegee as well as an Occasionally TN State.

In my opinion, Alcorn really doesn't have a true OOC HBCU rival. We Need To Get Our Hands Dirty and Get One.

See wahines, People don't THINK. The Alcorn Metro Atlanta Alumni Chapter is one of the BIGGEST Alcorn Alumni centers in the nation. Plus, a lot of SWAC Alums from other schools are in Atlanta. For Example, an Alcorn Hater in ATL may want to see Alcorn potentially get our azzes kicked and buy a ticket for the game just to hate on Alcorn. On the other hand, Alcorn fans from across the nation can come to Atlanta because it is easy to get to by plane, train, etc.

You know what baffles the hell out of me wahines? Alcorn played Valley in Chicago no more than 2-3 years ago and folks were happy about that. Atlanta vs. Chicago. AND FAMU is deep in Atlanta? AND Atlanta is sort of the MEAC Capital. AND Alcorn really doesn't have an OOC HBCU rival? We need at least one more game outside of an FBS or Upper-tier FCS in which we can get paid AND have a good chance at winning the ballgame.

I must think diffierently from other Alcornites in the War Party Room I Guess.

The question is, can you convince the 100 Black Men of Atlanta that Alcorn should be considered for being FAMU's opponent? You can't just force Alcorn on them folks. LOL. Maybe FAMU don't want that game either. Who knows. You don't think those folks have sat down and put together alternatives to SU to fill that gap for this year? I know you love Alcorn. But it is like anything else. Some schools have rivalries that super cede others. Even at the FBS level. Southern and FAMU being going at it since the the 1930s or 40s. Longtime rivalry and the bands just added to it. along with the fan base.

With the way the game has been declining in attendance, I am sure they are too scared to experiment with an opponent that the FAMU folks may not get hyped up about. Especially if the 100 ain't back this Fall. It is what it is.

Well Paul Quinn won the HBCU OTY Award the year before y'all did.
So maybe y'all can team together & start the HBCU of The year Classic.
And yall can play each other every year in Shreveport.

Maybe a better draw then y'all played in the Peach Classic in ATL.

As many times as TN State has raped JSU's ass, I'm amazed they still keep you on the schedule for the Southern Heritage Classic. But then again, JSU needs TN State more than TN State needs JSU correct?

Good Points JR. I just want Alcorn to realize that Academics happen in the classroom but Wins is what matters on the Football Field. The Atlanta Classic is a great opportunity for us to expand our name brand. I think FAMU has the "Superiority Complex" so I don't think they will be scheduling a rising TN State Team anytime soon. They want a team they think they stand a good chance of beating.

As much as JSU tries to downgrade our HBCU of the Year Award, the fact of the matter is, we still have it. Hopefully, the 100 Black Men will give us a shot based on having a White Head Coach and being the HBCU of the Year and see what happens. We like to say that MEAC Folks hate everything black right? Maybe they want to experiment and play a game against a white HBCU coach. But on Alcorn's side, we don't need to be nonchalant like JSU was in scheduling PV in 2009. We can at the very least inquire. Attendence will be whatever the Attendence will be.

Then you have some Alcornites who will come and try to justify two Mississippi Teams playing in Chicago, Illinois....:smh:.

Don't get mad at me. Lol
I'm only trying to help out the less fortunate.
You're the one complaining about not having a OOC HBCU rival

Win a SWAC championship first, become relevant and an eastern conference contender on the regular, get you some fans and then maybe someone will take you serious enough and want to schedule a game with you on a yearly basis.

And how dare you bring up Tenn State beating us when you have
JSU
The Bamas
And Valley kicking y'all ass!
Now simmer on down. You're the bottom feeder right now so deal with it.

Again, try scheduling that classic with Paul Quinn.
Y'all both share the same award, Both wear purple & gold colors. Almost identical fanbases
I think that's right up y'all alley.

and lost to NC A&T 42-35 .

How many points y'all win by in the Great Return of The Soul Bowl?

Alcorn Football program is right on track with all your threads.
Let that marinate on that bird brain.
