Who knows what the list will look like at this point. Mainly because a lot of coaches who may be interested can't talk to us until their season is over. So unless you got some guy who is out of work already on your list, you just got to sit back and do your homework on who you might want to reach out to when you are allowed too. Since we have a YOUNG and go getter AD who has no ties to HBCUs, I expect the coaching search to be different from the past unless our BOS interferes. If they let Dr. Broussard do his job as AD, I expect he would go after a young viable candidate.
this has to go on record as the earliest firing of any football coach...this gives southern plenty of time to plan. there is nothing wrong with hiring a coach from powerhouse D2 program that has proven success in the playoffs. hopefully, not participating in the playoffs and the nine mandate won't discourage the really good coaches from applying.
