Southern, if your campus was 100 miles north of where you are now, chances are you would be in the same boat as Alcorn. We will gladly host you in Memorial to capitalize on revenues (see 2009) for your athletic department.

Y'all can smack all day, but JSU has never relied on anyone to save our athletic department. You haven't seen one home game moved to accommodate another institution as we've done to at least 3 of y'all.

I think Jackson State should schedule Alcorn as it's Homecoming opponent next year and make some big money.

The only ones here sounding desperate is ya'll trying to convince people that baton Rogue actually GAS about ya'll. How much of that economy trickles down the the community that supports SU and lives around SU. All those BIG DOLLARS that go to supporting any college events when they are given out are going to LSU sponsered events and you know it.

He still thinks Ronald Reagan is President.

They #2 in the top largest metro's because of all the natural resources there............Gas, oil, etc. But we all know that none of that mjoney go to SU or the surrounding community that makes up SU.

Damn, they making all that money and SU cutting programs left and right? Where's all that money going? Oh, my bad.....to LSU.:smh:

lol u still fail to read and understand.....let me make it simple......If SU was the only school in Baton Rouge and Baton Rouge didn't drive in money year round...the city officials would put up more funds to get everything we could here in BR......but since Baton Rouge has one of the top economies in the country...Its no need for them to put the extra funding into trying to get every little thing in Baton Rouge....We own Everything...Scotlandville still makes money.....Count back 10 years ago and tell me how many hotels were right by SU's Campus?...Losing seasons and all they still got built..and that area is on the come up......yall sound so desperate :lmao::lmao: putting up money for alcorn to give yall their home game....If we played yall in BR this year .....jackson would really hurt outside of homecoming

We played y'all in Baton Rouge last year, and we had 3 games to outdraw your largest attended game (against us, ironically).

Dont let what you read in the news get u all happy.......Why is the mini dome getting a makeover and we why are we getting a new Track?

So let me get this straight cause you know I'm all about facts. You guys put folks with families out of jobs, then you took scholarships from poor students and for what? To add seats to a stadium you can only sellout once every other year when JSU comes to town? Now you're doing a makeover for a facility you don't average a thousand fans each night? Now you want a new track too when you already have that two in one track/football field?
That's just a TOTAL waste of money. Whose making these kinds of decisions for SU?:smh:

Ok....so what is Jackson State getting????.....We give out money to Ole piss and M-State....so ummmmm lets donate deez ninjas a stadium...and make them feel happy to have somethin

Yeah, a 60,000 seat stadium with free upkeep and 10 million dollars in renovation, plus additional upkeep by the state as needed, plus 250,000 dollars from UMC to rent our parking areas, plus total control over ALL events and activities held at Memorial.
This equates to no program cuts, no layoffs and no moving home games to opponents field.:snicker:

We admit .....we've had our share of problems.....but we ain't sittin out on our azz.....SU has new positive leadership right now.....its you JSU posters who act as if jackson is perfect......stop living in denial ....Yall need alcorn

Post where somebody from JSU said that our university was perfect. We're proud of it and rightly so, but no university is perfect.
Folks just need to quit telling lies and they won't get called out.

As far as SU's leadership is concerned, hiring Stump does not equate to "effective" leadership on the field. After this year, you'll REALLY understand what I'm talking about.

And LSU had a bad share of cuts as well....the whole state is feeling the crunch....it's kool jindal is digging his own grave

No, we earned it by paying taxes just like everybody else. Unless you're a private university, state funds are utilized for stadium building almost everywhere.

It all belongs to the "state" any how, it just happens to belong on a particular campus.

See what u don't realize is....Stump may not be the best coach....but he came in.....got out in scotlandville talking to parents,Cleaning up and giving back to the area....What does that do???.......people like that....encourage the young to attend and take interest to SU...thats positive leadership plans for the future

On the real, I think the Bayou Classic is okay. I think those 70k days are gone forever but it is not dead. I just get tired of SU folks trying to go in when that game is not perfect. Also, yall can't argue attendance with us right now. We winning in that Department.

I guess JR is the only dude from Su with sense....JR come get yo SU buddy in here and please give him knowledge...this dude is screaming over Baton Rouge economic success when none of that is helping Southern University...:smh:
