Michael Jordan Laughs at Kobe Bryant

Huh?

What do mean if the Dream Team "decided to?" And LeBron would drive his big self right by Pippen, too. LOL

Charles Barkley said a 19-year-old Dirk Nowitzki dropped 35 on Pippen in pre-Olymipic exhibition game. Man, too many of ya"ll just be exaggerating for sport.

Exactly!! Most of the guys on thsi current team are quicker than the original team. There's no way Pippen could hold Lebron and Jordan would have his hands full with Kobe.
Who would check Durant on the perimeter? Nobody. Who'd stay in front of Paul?

The premiere advantage would be at the center position, but that's overrated nowadays.

Do what? Jay Rob, is there anything you know?

How would MJ hold Kobe? Please tell me. How would Pippen hold Lebron? Who would hold Durant on the perimeter? Bird? LOL!!
You guys totally ignore the importance of quickness. The current team is very quick and could present defenses with serious problems. Heck, Paul could come off the bench and give Stockton serious problems.

Jay Rob, ALL of the guys on the Dream Team are tougher than these sissy ass players now.

It's not the players fault that the NBA has tightened the rules. They had no control over that. Players would be just as physical today, if not more, than they were in the '90's if the NBA hadn't stepped in to take control of the flagrant fouls.

Jay Rob, you're sounding like all those other delusional folks now. I think you need to rest abit and come back later.

Kobe-Jordan
Lebron-Pippen
Durant-Magic
Anthony-Malone
Bosh-Robinson

Bench

Chandler-Ewing
Paul-Stockton
Westbrook-Drexler
Love-Barkley

This would be a competitive game.
Man for man, the current team would actually be taller than the Dream Team....and quicker.

Po Bird was a senior citizen in 92. He wouldn't last. Stockton would get eaten up trying to guard rose or westbrook. I don't think Pippen holds Lebron either.

Kobe just guaranteed high TV rating and a few million copies of the EA sports special edition Olympic Dream team

So you mean to tell me bad back Bird and old Magic would keep up with Lebron and Durant at this stage of their careers? Bird and Magic was still the top 5 players on that Dream Team. You guys are just biased, not saying the Dream Team is weak but to say the comments Kobe made were laughable is crazy. John Stockton would get pummeled by Westbrook except in assist. The score would closer than what you think. The only advantage the Dream Team had would be at the center position...

Like the ESPN folks said...in 1992 that was a dream team...these guys are an Olympic Team....hell all the top guys in the league aren't even playing.

Jay Rob, Bosh isn't on the team.

No big deal. We'll just move Chandler or Love into his spot.

Not to mention some of those knock out screens that Malone will set for him. Also not to mention he would be part of the 2nd unit. :emlaugh:

He gets my respect for playing in the short shorts his entire career (Stockon)

Magic was one year removed from playing MJ in the Finals. Now Bird was passed his prime. He was already older when he got to the NBA. Magic was still wheeling and dealing. Still a slim Magic. Magic was only 32-33 at the time. Same age as Kobe is now. You act like Bird had to play the whole game. He could come off the bench and still rain threes. LOL. Durant would take one elbow from Karl Malone or have his shot rejected by Ewing and Big Dave and would have to live on the 3 line. Lebron is older than what David Robinson was then. Yall take a couple of players and run off with it. The game would not be as close as you think just because of the mental aspect of those Dream Team cats. All except the Admiral had that killer mentality on the court. Even sad arse Laettner would be relevant against these guys. He could actually get off a shot. LOL.

In that case the current Olympic team would live at the FT line with all of that hacking. Melo would frustrate the ticking time bomb that is Barkley. Malone couldnt hold most of the forwards back then so I know he wouldnt be able to hold Durant, he is just better overall. Knocking your man to the ground is not good defense lol. I just dont see this team getting beat bad by the Dream Team.

Just what I said....And you and a few others must be on crack. :emlaugh:

Ya'll must think Larry Bird with a creaky back and Magic Johnson in the twilight years of his career would intimidate Kobe, LeBron, Durant and Co. Do you know Kobe, at 33, finished second in the league in scoring this past season, right?

Then this fool Michael Wilbon on PTI said Magic Johnson at 32 (after taking an entire year off) would have been more of a skilled player than LeBron at 27 who is at the peak of his powers? If that ain't tomfoolcrackery, I don't know what is. LOL

Sorry but you don't know what the hell you're talking about. :emlaugh:

Well I'm not sure how much of an accomplishment it is to finish second in scoring when you shoot close to 4 FGs a game more than anybody else, but what Wilbon said was nonsense. That being said, the 2012 team could win a single game, but still would lose in no more than 5 games in a series.
