They have no inside defense. Who is going to protect the paint from those 7 footers? Tyson Chandler? Against this new Olympic team, you could put a small team on the floor with Jordan, Pippen, Magic, Mullen, Malone and Barkley. Malone could play center against this team.

I have to disagree with you. If the Dream team decided to not allow him the basketball and take him out of the game, he would look pathetic...........And I mean Pathetic. I can see Jordan and Pippin all in Lebron's behind.......
 
This just shows how much Kobe exudes with confidence. What's wrong with that?
I'll leave it to you guys to humbly admit that you could never beat your opponent.

I am just saying Lebron has all the tools to dominate anyone in any era. Now I would still question him being able to stand there and look at that collection of greats in their prime and take them to task. LOL. But after him and maybe Kobe. They have no one on that team that can play a lick of defense. Durant, Westbrook and Chris Paul would be your next best defenders on the perimeter. Chandler obviously is the only inside defender they have. You would foul poor Chandler out of the game and then Dave and Ewing would dominate. Reminding folks that was a very young Dave in 92. He is an 88 grad of USNA. So he was only 26 then. Clyde was still the glide then. Like MJ said, most of that team was under 30 except for Magic and Bird. Clyde may have been right at 30 since he was little older than MJ.

Zone defense is allowed so they wouldn't really have to worry about perimeter defense like folks think they would.
These are all professional players on the floor, so I think the game would be competitive.

Yes I agree with most of what you're saying. But in my mind, I am pretty sure that the real Dream Team would deny Lebron the basketball and exhibit menacing defense on him when he touches it and take away those tools. The minute he would try to back Pippin down, Jordan would steal the ball from him and be half way down the court. Then you can throw Magic on him for a minute. And them let him push around with Karl Malone for a while then Barkley could sucker him, pull the chair from under him. After throwing so much at Lebron IMHO, he would be a mental case. :lol: :emlaugh: The defense on Lebron would be so intense until it would almost be criminal........

Not to mention some of those knock out screens that Malone will set for him. Also not to mention he would be part of the 2nd unit. :lol: :emlaugh:

You guys are just biased, not saying the Dream Team is weak but to say the comments Kobe made were laughable is crazy. John Stockton would get pummeled by Westbrook except in assist. The score would closer than what you think. The only advantage the Dream Team had would be at the center position...

Magic was one year removed from playing MJ in the Finals. Now Bird was passed his prime. He was already older when he got to the NBA. Magic was still wheeling and dealing. Still a slim Magic. Magic was only 32-33 at the time. Same age as Kobe is now. You act like Bird had to play the whole game. He could come off the bench and still rain threes. LOL. Durant would take one elbow from Karl Malone or have his shot rejected by Ewing and Big Dave and would have to live on the 3 line. Lebron is older than what David Robinson was then. Yall take a couple of players and run off with it. The game would not be as close as you think just because of the mental aspect of those Dream Team cats. All except the Admiral had that killer mentality on the court. Even sad arse Laettner would be relevant against these guys. He could actually get off a shot. LOL.
 
Everybody on THAT Dream team had won individual awards before being elected. What has this year's Olympic team members won individually?

Charles Barkley said a 19-year-old Dirk Nowitzki dropped 35 on Pippen in pre-Olymipic exhibition game. Man, too many of ya"ll just be exaggerating for sport.
