Ole Piss and Ms State dumb arses need to merge. They will never be relevant in the SEC. Especially in football. The best they can hope for is to win 8 or 9 games every so often. LOL. They are just slightly better than Vandy and Kentucky football programs. Black Ole Piss boosters huh? SMH.

I wouldn't say that LSU doesn't play SU and Grambling for the same reasons Ole Miss doesn't play JSU, Alcorn or Valley.
Like someone said earlier, LSU thinks it's too high and mighty to play any schools in the state of Louisiana, therefore they don't.
That's a far cry from Ole Miss not playing SWAC schools. Ole Miss is still wrought with certain alumni who don't want to play SWAC schools due to sheer racism.

I had some HS classmates go to Ole Miss to play ball. Actually one of them is your frat bruh Harry Bartee. Dude might be a Doctor now I think. Some stay cool and just realize it is just getting their degree and getting on out. I also have some KKPSI frat bruhs of mine who have went to Law school there who hates them mofos. Another HS classmate and your frat went to grad school up there and taught there. He is a Dean at JSU now. He will tell you in a minute he went to Valley before any of the other schools. None of them give much credence to Ole Miss. Just a means to an end. But my next door neighbors in Jackson sent their daughter up there thinking Ole Miss was all that and were proudly wearing Ole Miss gear and isht. I was SMH. So yeah I realize some become a different type of black person when they matriculate to Ole Miss. Not all do. But some.

I know Black people who attended Ole Miss who somehow acquired that snobbish attitude the white Ole Miss people have. Think they can look down on others who attend other schools. Yeah I always hated that. You see it all over the country. I remember in grad school at Ohio State, you had a few blacks who went to some white school for undergrad thinking they were all that. Even thought they were better than blacks who went to Ohio State for undergrad. Just ridiculous. Same in Minnesota. You run across some of them blacks who went to some PWC and they are a trip. But what really makes you mad is when you run across a black from a HBCU not in the deep South, mainly the SWAC that have a superiority complex. I have had to check a few fellow HBCU grads along the way.

Actually, Pete Boone was the key to us playing MS State. Pete was the AD at Ole Miss at the time.

All I know is in this day, at this time, in this minute, in this second, in the sovereign state, where Dixie lays her head, on the Mississippi dew, where cotton was king, Mississippi Valley has the best HBCU athletic program. I don't want to hear jack about last year or what that hell they have done in the past less we bring up that pitiful 0-13 playoff record. Jsu posters must be the only snobs that are looking up to be people while trying to put them down. :lol: :emlaugh:

He brokered the deal/or made it possible between the two schools. He knew the sentiments of his alumnus and major boosters and didnt want the headaches knowing he was being pushed out.

Greg Byrne didn't need Pete Boone to "broker" any deal or "make it possible". That's giving Pete Boone way too much credit for what happened. Now, he may have passed the buck because he knows his fan base is still racist, but he didn't make the games between MSU and the SWAC teams happen.
When Dan Mullen was hired, he said he wanted to do two things: 1) recruit the best players in the state and 2) keep some of the money they pay for out-of-conference games inside the state by playing teams from Mississippi. He's done both of those things. Lining up the SWAC teams and putting USM on the schedule for '14 and '15. Greg Byrne didn't need Pete Boone for either of those things. How would Pete Boone have any special insight anyway? It's not like Ole Miss was trying to play the SWAC or USM. They're still not. So, what would put Pete Boone in a position to "broker" a deal?
