Alcorn to name new Head coach on Memorial Day

I think he will be successful at Alcorn though. Atleast mediocre.

However, he gone take some azz whippings this year. Just don't throw him out for losing with players that he did not recruit.

You didnt tell me nothing I didnt know... I knew it was Jobe and Whitney... arent these considered the SWAC greats? Dont act like its common to get out of the first round for the SWAC.
 
I just heard that the new OC for Alcorn is going to be Willie Simmons of MTSU. Not very sure how accurate this is, but It just came to me.
 
they think he's going to drop a boatload of cash considering his brother is a legislator in Vicksburg and the family comes from "old money"

this was a financial move the president made instead of an Xs and Os move as his resume probably wasn't the best one of the bunch and this move probably infuses some type of PR.

Plus, the assistant salaries had to go up as he's trying to being in a "name" assistant

JACKSON, MS (WLBT) - The original "Air McNair" is returning to the Reservation.

TV-3 Sports has learned that former Alcorn State quarterback Fred McNair is coming back to his alma mater to serve as the Braves offensive coordinator in 2012.

Fred spent last season as head coach of Collins High School and sources say he will join new coach Jay Hopson on his staff.

Before taking over at Collins, Fred helped lead Mount Olive to a pair of state titles as the Pirates offensive coordinator.

He spent time at Millsaps College after years in the Arena League

You hired this underqualified unemployed guy for two reasons. Number 1 he's white number 2 he's from Vicksburg. That's it. He's been a loser all over the country and had shown no redeemable head coach qualities. And I don't want to hear that mess about him being a position coach either. StumpMitchell was a position coach in the NFL for years and look how poorly that has worked out for SU.

You picked this whiteboy off the bottom of the heap and begged him to coach after he turned you down and then promised him support that you wouldn't give to previous coaches or other current candidates. I honestly despise this kind of cow tying and begging. I hope y'all lose every FN game from now on. I even hope SU whoop that ass. No pride having son of a .....

If that story about Fred McNair is true...I'm happy. If the other news we've heard about in the War Party is true, too. It's going to be something serious in the SWAC!!!!

So you're happy that Fred McNair, a candidate MORE qualified than Hopsen, is now playing second fiddle to him? Why are you happy about this?

IF Alcorn gets better, that will only make JSU better. We look forward to them getting better. WE HOPE THEY GET BETTER.
