.Every BCS National Championship Football team has been from the Great State of Alabama.

Now, I know some of you geniuses out there are saying to yourselves, "wait a minute Deuce, didn't Florida win the championship in Obama's first year?". The answer is No. George W. Bush was President when Florida won the championship. Obama was President-Elect, and had not been sworn in.

Now you know.

There is no such thing as "the Great State of Alabama".

There is nothing great about Alabama.

All those people left Alabama to become great.

Not true. By the way, Martin Luther King, Jr. came here and became great. He left Atlanta unknown and unemployed. He left Montgomery known around the world.

So you saying that you will support the university of alabama with this tribute over Alabama State on The Swac Page

Over Alabama State?

What does my dear alma mater have to do with a football team I was a fan of for ten years before I ever attended ASU?

By the way, if ASU wins a National Championship in ANY sport, rest assured, my sig will reflect it.

Is there a reason why you did not attend the University of Alabama?

Good question. I've come to realize that things are just different over there in Alabama. I cringed when I heard Rickey Smiley singing the bama fight song (with alot of pride) on his morning show. If I had that much pride and interest in another school, I probably would've just attended.

I didn't even need to hear it. I saw it on here when Alabama won a couple years ago. Anyone NOT from Alabama saw it and saw that it is just different :(

As much as a lot of us from Mississippi might talk about the JSU people... that's something I know I don't have to worry about is that JSU people and posters on here striking out with a Hotty Toddy chant and a Rebel flag in the back of their car :lol

Storm96 and SoloMan,

People really have to be able to differentiate between a UNIVERSITY and a FOOTBALL TEAM.

I root for the Crimson Tide Football team.

Period.

I considered going to Alabama, but chose ASU instead, for cultural, academic and financial reasons. And I'm glad I did. The University of Alabama is a great place to go to school - even for minorities. I spent a lot of time on their campus when I was in school at ASU, and had a lot of fun.

But again, I root for the UA FOOTBALL TEAM, not the UA Library, or Biology Department, or cafeterria.

You guys straight now?

:retard:

Are you straight?

If you can't separate the library from the University of Alabama, how can you separate the football team from the University of Alabama?

Yes, you are 100% right . . . it is different in Alabama.

Alabama is the only southern state that has a winning college football tradition (PWCs) that goes back nearly 100 years.
"L", if I lived in sorry arse Mississippi, with those sorry arse, non-winning, no tradition PWCs, I would feel the same way you do.

But Alabama is in the same class as a handful of elite universities that transcend school affiliation. Alabam is in the same class as Notre Dame, Michigan, Ohio State, USC, Nebraska, Texas and Oklahoma. I dare say that Ole Miss, Miss. State and So. Miss are not.

So to compare the reverence of people in Alabama (black and white) for the Crimson Tide to that of the people of Mississippi for your PWCs is like comparing apples to oranges.

WHY... Rickey Smiley is from Birmingham....When he was growing up Alabama was BIRMINGHAMS team and played all their home games at Legion Field. Plus he PAYS for his son to go to Alabama.

These are GOOD questions....

You shole is right. Don't care if Ole Piss or Ms State ever win isht. And even if they did. I would never root for them bastards as a native of the SIP. We just grew up that way I guess. Never considered them for school and even when MS State upset Alabama 6-3 in Jackson back in the 80s with Emory Bellard as coach. We didn't care. We actually felt bad that Bama lost to them. Only folks I was happy for were the guys from my HS on that Ms State team. Folks on here know I always say, General Sherman should have burned both of those campuses down when he came through the South and those schools were first opening up. LOL.

Neither program has a history of being good.... they are the bottom feeders of the SEC and should be in Conference USA. There are more people at Alabama home games than MSU and Ole Miss combined on gameday Saturdays.
