Dude, what the hell are you talking about? Are you on medication or something? We're talking about doing something to bring in the finances or atleast at looking into going where the finances are. Right now, the SWAC doesnt have any finances. Period. There is no oasis flowing over here. This brook has dried up. Everyone over here is *itching and crying about nothing, but yet we're constantly getting thinner and thinner from not eating. Hell, how long do you have to sit and listen to your stomach growl before you get off your ass and go and find something to eat? Well, our schools have sat on their asses for far too long and now their stomachs are touching their backs. It's time to do SOMETHING, instead of *itching and moaning cause that has gotten us nowhere fast.

If it doesn't pertain to you then don't answer, reading is fundamental and if you didn't read the statements from your comrades of course you would be lost as usual. If you don't understand, simply don't say nothing but such batchazzness can't be locked up so i understand wholeheartedly. Carry On Bruh. I will be glad when JSU finally leaves the SWAC so you all can stop whining all the damn time, hope its sooner than later. Sheesh lol.

Poor thinking, speculation and denial are more idiotic and ooze tomfoolery. Wasn't speaking to anyone personally, all of my post are generalized. If one can't handle them so be it, if one can then so be it. I guess people from certain schools can't but o well, expected it, especially from some that are stuck in a mental box of denial, that lack realism and sometimes common sense lapses along with shades of blind pride. I love the history of our conference, but I also feel that certain schools should consider other options even going so far as to move to a nearby FBS league. The Sunbelt Conference is full of schools that decided they wanted to be "D1" in football and left from D1AA. We need to look at perhaps doing the same, those schools who want to move up and possibly merge with other conferences or like minded programs. Just one option!

Right! We all need to review these types of options if we want our athletic programs to flourish, cause the SWAC isnt doing anything for us financially. Every dime our schools are making is because of our schools and not the conference itself.

You are a historically LIE. If anything, GSU was playing the MoBrown and Concordia's before us. It wasn't until Braddy became our AD that we even considered the likes of Paul Quinn and Concordia. Stilman was not really a lightweight. They have good teams every now and then just like this year. Delta State is certainly not a light weight.

I don't agree with playing 1-A teams.

You took 1 statement and twisted it into something else. I am all for playing white schools. One of the great home and home's we had years ago was with Northwestern. I am just not for the playoff's in the current format, if the playoffs in there current format was all black I would not be for it. If I was SWAC COMMISIONER I would do away with the 9 game mandate, and open up another date and encourage all conference members to play other schools.

The Ivy Leaugue doesn't participate in the playoffs (well this 1AA junk), I wonder why, whatever the excuse is, they participate in every other sport. (Think about it).

Lewis, the Ivy League has money, the SWAC is just as broke as some of our schools. Our schools need to review this SWAC "love" relationship and see what the SWAC has done for our schools lately. If the SWAC hasnt benefited our schools, then why do we continue to stay in this broken, one-way relationship?

Your are right, back to the original topic, IMHO, I don't think the NCAA follows your logic. Basically, you are saying the NCAA should look at the conference teams that finish their season by the weekend before Thanksgiving and will not win the conference. I don't think they will do that. The NCAA is very clear about not picking conference champions, conferences do that.

So IMHO, the NCAA is not going to move until the conference picks the champion, they are not going to try to figure out who is not going to win it. That's not there place.

That has to be the great insight of the day, " the Ivy League has money". DUH, they got more money period, before you even start talking about sport. It is not that IVY League football is make them tons of money. Most 1AA conference, the conference itself does make the schools a ton of money.

What has the SWAC made us lately? They dont even show what they made off the SCG. And like I said earlier, our schools make their own money. The SWAC dont do isht.

My concern is that we're losing ground...and fast. Time was in the 80's we entertained hopes, dreams, desires of playing SEC teams and winning. Hell, I can recall when Southern Miss was afraid to play JSU and damn near got beat (definitely got outplayed by JSU) in the 80's. SMU had to get some phanthom calls to escape Grambling in the mid 80's. Now, we hope that we can be competitive against Southland Conference schools. Folks...we're losing ground!

MikeB, this kind of talk folks dont want to hear. They believe that we STILL are in control and that those outside this conference STILL fear us. They dont understand that what they see from these folks outside this conference isnt fear anymore, it's shame and disrespect.
 
Man let's be honest. TNSU is in a all white conference. What has it gotten them? Nothing!!!! Black folks love to yap and run our mouths. JSU fans will not pack the stadium week in and week out to play PWC.s Ain't gonna happen. At first they will come out, but after the first year, ninjas gone be going to other HBCU games.

Cee, you're blinded by racism. OVC doesnt have any money, just like SWAC, MEAC, SIAC, or any other small conference. I'm talking about investigating options greater than where we're at now. And our fans support our team as long as we're winning (regardless of who we play). That Thursday night game against TxSo showed that. We dont flock to other's homecoming game when our team has a home game.

You put a good product on the field with a reasonable price, our fans will show up to see "OUR" team.

I work and live by JSU fans who don't go to your games just like ours. The truth is TXSU game yall offered a deal. You are not going to be able to do that 11 games a year. Your fans would not come out year after year because going FBS is a pipe dream. Troy ST has more folks who give back than all 20 teams from the MEAC and SWAC together. Yet they are struggling at FBS. So would JSU.
