7 weird things about Gadhafi

Re: Costed U.S. 1 billion dollars for Gadhafi's head

2. All-Female Virgin Bodyguard Retinue: They apparently weren't around when Gadhafi needed them most on Thursday, but the eccentric dictator was historically protected by 40 well trained bodyguards – all of them women. The bodyguards, called "Amazons," were all reportedly virgins who took a vow of chastity upon joining the dictator's retinue. The women, trained at an all-female military academy, were handpicked by Gadhafi. They wore elaborate uniforms, as well as makeup and high-heeled combat boots.

Got pics?

3. His "Voluptuous" Ukrainian Nurse: For a decade, Galyna Kolotnytska, a Ukrainian nurse often described in the press as "voluptuous," was regularly seen at the dictator's side. Kolotnytska was described in a leaked diplomatic cable as one of Gadhafi's closest aides and was rumored to have a romantic relationship with him. Several other Ukrainian women served as nurses and they all referred to him as "Papa" or "Daddy."

4. Crush on Condoleezza Rice: In 2007, Gadhafi called former Sec. of State Condoleezza Rice his "darling black African woman" and on a 2008 visit she made to Tripoli, the dictator gave her $200,000 worth of gifts, including a ring and a lute. But it wasn't until rebels stormed his Tripoli compound that the depths of the dictator's infatuation were exposed. There among Gadhafi's belongings was a carefully composed photo album made up of dozens of images of no one but Rice.

That is one sick crazy man..

Re: Costed U.S. 1 billion dollars for Gadhafi's head

I don't see what is weird about a man surrounding himself with T&A.

As far as Condolezza Rice goes, we all have that one girl that we'll hit (or have already hit) that our friends don't think is attractive. I'm not really sure what is "sick" about that.

:noidea:

Re: Costed U.S. 1 billion dollars for Gadhafi's head

Re: Costed U.S. 1 billion dollars for Gadhafi's head

You mean Gadhafi was wired because he would not sell out his people. So as ususal, the gangsters, our government had to take him out to keep him from forming the currency he was going to create, and of course, take the OIL from the people to keep them from prospering and give it to the rich oil companies to control gas and oil prices around the world. If you guys believe anything our news tells us, then you are really not informed.

Oh well, Gaddafi dont have to worry about his gold currency now.

Re: Costed U.S. 1 billion dollars for Gadhafi's head

Gaddafi was killing his own people, so they rose up against him and killed him.

We must remember that one of the initial reasons in rushing to impose a no-fly zone was to prevent Gaddafi from using his air force to bomb “his own peopleâ€â€”a distinct phrasing that echoes what was tried and tested in the demonization of Saddam Hussein in Iraq. On February 21, when the first alarmist “warnings†about “genocide†were being made by the Libyan opposition, both Al Jazeera and the BBC claimed that Gaddafi had deployed his air force against protesters—as the BBC “reportedâ€: “Witnesses say warplanes have fired on protesters in the cityâ€.

Yet, on March 1, in a Pentagon press conference, when asked: “Do you see any evidence that he [Gaddafi] actually has fired on his own people from the air? There were reports of it, but do you have independent confirmation? If so, to what extent?†U.S. Secretary of Defense Robert Gates replied, “We’ve seen the press reports, but we have no confirmation of thatâ€. Backing him up was Admiral Mullen: “That’s correct. We’ve seen no confirmation whatsoeverâ€.

In fact, claims that Gaddafi also used helicopters against unarmed protesters are totally unfounded, a pure fabrication based on fake claims. This is important since it was Gaddafi’s domination of Libyan air space that foreign interventionists wanted to nullify, and therefore myths of atrocities perpetrated from the air took on added value as providing an entry point for foreign military intervention that went far beyond any mandate to “protect civiliansâ€.

David Kirpatrick of The New York Times, as early as March 21 confirmed that, “the rebels feel no loyalty to the truth in shaping their propaganda, claiming nonexistent battlefield victories, asserting they were still fighting in a key city days after it fell to Qaddafi forces, and making vastly inflated claims of his barbaric behaviorâ€.

The “vastly inflated claims†are what became part of the imperial folklore surrounding events in Libya, that suited Western intervention. Rarely did the Benghazi-based journalistic crowd question or contradict their hosts.

Re: Costed U.S. 1 billion dollars for Gadhafi's head

so is this why our money is not backed by gold?
who tells the world what can be used as currency?

Re: Costed U.S. 1 billion dollars for Gadhafi's head

You are so ms-informed that all of oil profits was going back to the county and given to the people. Libya was not broke and that the people got tax breaks from the oil profits. We wanted to control and the crooks, the IMF Bank did not want them to have their own currency.

Talking about Gaddafi killing his own people, what about our government and the things they do. They are some of the biggest liers, cheaters and thieves. And we want to police someone else. Worry about your own back yard before you worry about someone else. We have high unemployment, high gas prices, homelessness on purpose and we want to police someone else, you have to be kidding me.

Re: Costed U.S. 1 billion dollars for Gadhafi's head

True.

One of the most beautiful women I've ever seen in person is Egyptian. I have an very beautiful friend who is Tunisian.

Middle Eastern women tend to square off when they get older though. Like Mexicans. Kinda have that canned biscuit effect. Just ... POOF!!! Swole. Shapeless blob overnight. :smh:

Man, Some of y'all need to learn a little bit more about this dude outside of the little bit of infrastructure he put in his country...The cat has ALOT of blood on his hands...check this out:

Do you KNOW how many ethnic cleansings and genocides this dude has bankrolled on the african continent? Here's a list of clientele and despots he's been involved with:

68e79da5744edcaf2f9891db270ff345.jpg

Idi Amin: Uganda
People Killed: An estimated 300,000 per Amnesty International

Ghaddafi funded this cat ( to tune of 20 million dollars ) during his rule. He even provided troops when his regime was collapsing to fight Tanzinian forces trying to stop the genocide going on there.

Mengistu_Bundesarchiv_183-1986-0417-012.JPG

Mengistu Haile Mariam: Ethiopia
People Killed: 1,500,000 during a period historically known as the "Red Terror", per Amnesty International

Ghaddafi bankrolled him also, despite the guy already getting aid from the Soviet Union.

sankoh95.jpg

Foday Sankoh: Sierra Leone (Founder/Head of the RUF)
People Killed: 200,000...people tortured/disfigured/exploited: an estimated 800,000 per Amnesty International.

Ah yes...Foday Sankoh...the guy that brought the RUF (with abducted child soldiers and mass amputations) to the international spotlight...Guess where he got his ideology and training from? A little spot in Benghazi called the World Revolutionary Center founded by ole' MoMo himself. Infact, a good number of the continent's dictators graduated from that 'school' including this guy:

imgCharles%20Taylor1.jpg

Charles Taylor: Liberia
people killed: 220,000 people tortured/disfigured/exploited: unknown. per Amnesty International.

Alright...in addition to putting his own populace to the sword, Guess who this dude was funding, arming, and providing troops for ethnic cleansing? the aformentioned Foday Sankoh. Who was funding, advising, and arming Charles Taylor? I think y'all cna figure that one out.

That's just on the African continent.

I guess some nice infrastructure can gloss over the fact that this guy has had a hand in almost every major genocide the continent has seen during the late 20th century, save Rwanda. Again, HIS populace didn't forget that, hence the reason ole dude is pushing up daisies. You don't see his buddy Farrakhan mentioning this too much, either...:(:(:spin:

I couldn't have said it better. I got to arguing with some cats outside one night about Mengistu and Taylor.
