Before Jesus's 2nd Coming, 90 Percent of Humanity Must Die?! Wow!!

JayRob

TigaPaw
According to the most violent laden book in the bible, the book of Revelation, and just before Jesus' second coming, the author of the book has predicted that 90 percent of humanity will be killed off or die in some form or fashion via plagues, bowls from both man and the biblical god. If the biblical god is such a god of love, why is such violence needed just so he can come back?

Hey Cee, if this is true, what's your odds of survival? You have a ten percent chance of being alive just in case you didn't know.
Cee...are you even going to be here for Jesus' second coming? Not me. I will be coming with Him. My chances of being alive will be 100%. Perhaps you will be hanging out with JayRob. Maybe you can have his 10% since he doesn't want it.

JayRob...how did you come up with this scientific figure of 90%?

When you tell me how you'll be coming back with him BEFORE he (supposedly) comes, then I'll tell you how I came up with the 90 percent figure.
By the way, the Rapture's not mentioned in the bible and is non-biblical.

Let's find out if you are a man of your word.

I will be leaving on this wise:
1 Thess 4:15-17

15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. 16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: 17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

I will be returning on this wise:
Rev 19:11-14

11 And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse ; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war. 12 His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself. 13 And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God. 14 And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.

I now await you to tell how you arrived at your 90% figure. Thanks.

Your theory is inaccurate just as I thought it would be.

The verses you mention come towards the END of Revelation, but what happens before the LAST trumpet sounds as predicted by Paul in 1 Corinthians 15:52?

The key to those verses is WHEN will this archangel sound the last or 7th trumpet? Until that happens, you and everyone who believes in a rapture will still be on planet earth just like everybody else.
Revelation 6:9-11 says that many more believers will have to be killed just as others were in the past, so how will you escape in a rapture?
And white robes were given unto every one of them; and it was said unto them, that they should rest yet for a little season, until their fellowservants also and their brethren, that should be killed as they were, should be fulfilled" (Rev. 6:9-11).

There's another martyrdom predicted in these verses. There's no mention of any rapture up to this point and there's no mention of a last or seventh trumpet either. There's certainly no mention of a second coming just yet either, so this means that you aren't going anywhere.

Can you tell me when this 7th trumpet will sound? According to Paul in 1 Corinthians 15, until this trumpet sounds, you'll STILL be on this earth.

JayRob, I did what you asked of me. I await you keeping your word. Instead, I have read nothing other than your contending with what I wrote.

Perhaps it would help you to know who those people are in the white robes.

I'm not trying to be funny JayRob because this is a subject that I take very seriously; but why do you care? You told me that you don't acknowledge my Lord God Jehovah, the One God from the Holy Bible, as the creator of Heaven, Earth, and all therein the Earth. And since you don't believe or acknowledge Him, you don't believe, acknowledge or accept Jesus Christ to be our Redeemer and Saviour, nor do you believe, acknowledge or accept the Holy Spirit that Jesus said He would leave to us to direct us, guide us, and comfort us during our times of sorrow and trouble. So, again I ask you, why do you care? And before you say you're "doing research" or "have proven facts", if you don't care, why go through all the trouble. You might be having what you think to be a "conversation" or "debate", but it really looks like you're provoking an argument, like the rest of your posts. But that might just be how I see it.......I can't speak for anyone else on the Prayer Board.

For someone who does not believe or acknowledge God, you sure do spend a lot of time looking for ways to disprove and/or refute Him. But since you quote the Holy Bible so much, I guess you might be just biding your time and would rather confess Jesus Christ is Lord later rather than now......because sooner or later, you'll confess.

You have come nowhere near to answering my question, yet you want me to answer yours.....again? Seems that you want me to answer your questions, but your answers to my questions are nowhere near to being accurate.

The folks in the white robes are those who WERE martyred and killed. They are dead people, not live people. It says they were given white robes and were told to wait until their fellow brethren should be martyred as they WERE (past tense).
In short, it was a vision of dead people being told to wait until the rest of their brethren will be killed.

Now please tell me when will the last trumpet will occur and what will happen during that trumpet?

Why do I care? It's not that I care about the bible, but I care about the truth and facts.
Should one remain silent when a wrong doctrine is being taught? Should one remain silent when he sees inaccuracies being taught? Should one remain silent when he witnesses a murder, yet has proof as to who committed the murder? Should that person remain silent because others disagree with him?

Ask yourself, why did Paul care to preach to the Stoics and believers in the unknown god? Was it because he cared about the pagan gods or was it because he supposedly cared about revealing the truth?
Apply that same principle to me. I care about the truth and it's revelation more than about the bible. That should be the goal of all of us.
If the bible isn't teaching the whole truth, shouldn't that be pointed out to those who may not know it? I think so and I also don't think one should weakly blame the messenger, but they should weigh what the messenger says. If it has fact, then accept it. If not, reject it. This is why I've come to reject most of what's in the bible.

So folks who believe in Christianity can post any and everything they please, yet don't they offend others with their posts? If I can put up with some posts on here without getting upset, surely those who read my posts should be able to do the same, especially if they have the holy spirit working with them. Don't you think?

So the apostle Paul can debate and argue with others, yet not one of you mentioned this as causing strife among those he preached to? You called it preaching the gospel, but not provoking strife.
Now when I post something contrary to the opinions of some, I'm unlawfully being accused of provoking others to strife? If it was okay for Paul, why isn't it okay for me or anyone else to have a differing opinion? Sounds very hypocritical to me and almost borders on censorship. It really does.

For someone who does not believe or acknowledge God, you sure do spend a lot of time looking for ways to disprove and/or refute Him.

Many Christians don't believe in pagan gods but spend their time preaching against it and finding ways to refute them. Are they wrong for this? If they don't believe in it, why do they spend so much of their time trying to disprove it and prevent others from believing in such gods? The same principle applies to me.

But since you quote the Holy Bible so much, I guess you might be just biding your time and would rather confess Jesus Christ is Lord later rather than now......because sooner or later, you'll confess.

I mistakenly confessed years ago when I didn't know any better. Thankfully, those days are over due to the fact that I know a lot more now than I did back then.

What do I know now that I didn't back then? I now know that the bible has many false statements, many unscientific statements, false history, inaccurate history, dozens and dozens of unfulfilled prophecies. It has stories and characteristics that were taken from other books and writings from various cultures; it has a savior whose physical attributes and characteristics are virtually identical to the saviors of other religions, religions that existed long before Christianity came on the scene. That's called plagiarism. It has so-called miracles that couldn't have possibly come to pass except in stories of fiction such as the sun stopping, a donkey talking, dozens and dozens of people rising out of their graves in Jerusalem, a worldwide flood that covered Mt. Everest. And those are only a fraction of mounds of evidence clearly proving that the bible is a man-made doctrine that's been pawned off as being revealed to ancient nomadic tribesmen by an all-knowing god of the universe.

As I stated earlier, I'd rather hold on to facts than fantasy, evidence than mere faith. I also hold on to the fact that it's your prerogative to believe what you want to believe and accept what you want to accept, with no strife from me.

You have come nowhere near to answering my question, yet you want me to answer yours.....again? Seems that you want me to answer your questions, but your answers to my questions are nowhere near to being accurate.

The last trumpet will occur at the end of the tribulation. Those who are martyred during the tribulation arise and join the rest of us who precede them.

I have now answered you twice and I still await your first answer

You mistake giving an answer as giving the "right" answer. The answer you've given (for the second time) is not the right answer.
The Tribulation comes during the fifth seal of Revelation, which is nowhere near the seventh trumpet. The seventh trumpet comes much later. As a matter of fact, the tribulation (5th seal) is the time of the martyrdom of thousands of religious folks as mentioned in Matthew 24:21 and 29 and Revelation 6:9-11.

After the 5th seal comes the 6th seal in Rev. 6:12-13.
Then comes the 7th seal which consists of the seven trumpets or plagues. Each plague must come to pass, so seven catastrophic events is said to take place before the 7th trumpet (plague) as mentioned in Revelation 8:1-2 will occur.
The SEVENTH trumpet (the LAST trumpet), consists of the seven last plagues. During this time, the fictional second coming is said to take place as mentioned in Rev 15 and 16.

The tribulation occurence means that the fictional second coming of Jesus is AT LEAST three and a half years away.

So Dacon, there you have it, a brief synopsis of Revelation and the Jesus figure's supposed second coming.

Since you didn't answer the question accurately, I'll think about posting how 90 percent of the world's population is prophesied to die before the second coming of the Jesus figure.

You apparently think that the tribulation ends in chapter 6 or 7 and that the plagues are not part of the tribulation. It also seems that you believe the seventh trumpet in Rev 11 and the last trumpet in 1 Cor 15 are the same. These are both assumptions based on what I have read from you. Are these two assumptions correct?

JR

Where is the 90%.

Let's say there's 8 billion people on earth.
Starting in Revelation 6, the pale horse kills a fourth of the 8 billion leaving approximately 6 billion.
This doesn't include deaths caused by the stars falling to the earth.

Revelation 8:9 doesn't say how many humans were killed in the sea.
Verse 8:11 says many men died from Wormwood poisoning the fresh waters but not how many.
Revelation 9:15-18 then says that a third of the six billion will be killed off, leaving approximately 4 billion left.
Revelation 16:3 Every living soul dies, but it doesn't say how many humans died.
Verses 8-9 says men were scorched with fire, but it doesn't say how many died.

16:14 says that the kings of the whole earth will be gathered at Armageddon, so a large number of people are getting ready to be killed off.

16:21 says that hail fell on a great number of men, but it doesn't say how many died.
Revelation 18 says many will die in Babylon but it doesn't say how many.
Revelation 19:17-21 says that the fowls of the air feast upon the armies who were set to fight against Christ at his second coming, but it doesn't say how many were killed.

Adding up all the stated number of deaths along with estimations of unlisted deaths in the most violent book of the bible, one could easily come to the conclusion that at least 90 percent of mankind will be dead by the time of the fictional second coming.

THANK GOODNESS THIS IS A BOOK OF FICTION!!!

Hey JR, if you use that kind of fuzzy math, can I be your banker, and your investment broker????

Hey JR, if you use that kind of fuzzy math, can I be your banker, and your investment broker????

Please explain in detail how the math is fuzzy. As a matter of fact, the 90 percent figure could be too conservative a number, especially when adding in the three total horsemen of war, famine and disease all together of Revelation 6. That could be over a billion people alone.

Matthew 24:21-22 says that there will be great tribulation as has never been and if the days weren't cut short, NO flesh would be saved alive. So, the 90 percent number may be a bit conservative if ALL flesh combined is threatened.

Mat 24:21-22. For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.
And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened.

Is that all you have? A lmao icon? That means you have no rebuttal that could come close to anything I posted.

This god of love claim, as clearly shown by the book of Revelation, is a total lie. A god of violence would be much more accurate.

Satan is so proud of you Jay Rob. I bet he smiles every time you wake up in the morning.

You sound so confident that you KNOW what this satan character is thinking. What's this fictional being proud of me for? How do you know what the satan character is thinking? Did you have a conversation with him before you typed what you typed? You HAD to if you claim to know what he's thinking.

By the way, I'm only repeating from Revelation what the biblical god predicted would occur, so what does satan have to do with any of this? Didn't the biblical god supposedly inspire the book of Revelation or did satan do it?
