Re: Did Kobe quit on his teammates in game 4?

I guess when all else fails in the present...resort to the success of seasons past. Looks like Kobe's 5 championships couldn't save him or the Lakers from that embarrassment they had to deal with today. Fresh crow is the best kind. And this is coming from a Rockets fan...

But anyway...uhhh...good run Lakers...at least until the end when some of the players showed how classy they really are. Better luck next season. If Phil is leaving after this debacle, yall might just need it.

Well I guess we have wait until next year after we get CP3 and Superman

In about a month, your statement will be invalidated, LOL!!

THe Mavs might get killed by whoever wins OKC or Grizzs but at least they RUINED Stern's dream of Kobe killing Queen James and the Heat. So all is good except for the 20 Laker staffers and assistant coaches who will be jobless now.

Yall better go check on Get Ready and make sure he is alright. :emlaugh: I bet he clinching on to Kobe's jersey saying 'Why Kobe, Why!!!!!"

And who to say other teams won't improve? When will teams learn to get the best set of players together instead of collecting a bunch of names?
They won 2 titles WITHOUT CP3 or Howard-those two on the Lakers are suppose to scare anyone?
Who are you going to get rid of to get them either via trade or salary cap issues? Not every team is stupid like the Grizzs despite the fact they got Gasol's brother and dumping Kwame Brown got them better help.
The Lakers got thier behinds handed to them by castoffs that no one else wanted.
The days of being scared of the Lakers is over and if they got guys on that roster they think teams are suppose to bow down to them-those guys need to go.

CP3 will go back to the east coast with New York and Howard probably go to Chicago or Miami. Kobe is getting old.

smh this is pretty much how this series went for the lakers----->

ps..Thank god the " Kobe is in Jordan's class" talk can cease now...Sure the Bulls lost series', but I don't recall a team led by MJ, especially a veteran MJ, ever folding like a box

Something just pointed out on the news-2 teams from Dallas (Or DFW) beat the big dogs of the MLB and NBA. Rangers beat the Yankees and Dallas beat Lakers. Too bad Cowboys won't do that this year (or EVER).

Re: Did Kobe quit on his teammates in game 4?

lol Bynum doesn't have a wife. I don't know if its Vanessa or Miss Matt Barnes. Hell, even Kardashian.

Thats who it is being reported that did so. Pau said that he shouldn't have brought what she did interfere with the series... you think? smh lol

Fairly certain I never said that. Still, Dwight isn't wired to be dominant, which was my point. Besides, Bynum isn't the issue right now, he is what he is. The Lakers' real issues are that Gasol is in the tank and they have no bench, not to mention Kobe can't impose his will on teams for extended stretches anymore.
Thas been my point about my LAKERS the last 3 years. No bench and the ones on the starting 5 except KOBE and FISHER ain't worth the money being paid. You say HOWARD is not dominant. You got to realize he ain't but 25 years old. It took KOBE almost that long to learn how to dominate at his position. REMEMBER ALL THEM AIRBALLS UTAH KEPT BAITING HIM INTO TAKING DURING HIS EARLY YEARS?

Howard is the answer in the middle for the LAKERS. Trade Bynam, Odem and Gasol and free up bout $30 million off the payroll. All these players ready to move in the offseason, the Lakers can get pratically anybody they want.

They should go for HOWARD first and then go after Chris Paul. Get those 2 with KOBE and build from there. Let Fisher come off the bench for another year. Chris Paul is not going to be playing for New Orleans when the 2011-2012 season starts. Sorry Hornets fans but ya'll know he gone too.

83,
You can't compare Kobe at 25 to Howard. But compare someone with a similar game to Howard at the same age. Shaq at this age and point of his career was DOMINATING every center not named Olajuwan.

They pass on Howard if he wants to come to LA, they stupid. BUT........If Howard do want to come to LA, The LAKERS are gonna snap him up faster than they did SHAQ. Thats a given.

True. Don't pass on him. Just don't think he'll be the next Shaq either.

Not saying that.
I'm saying Dwight is going to get a whole lot better and he still growing. He has already gotten more aggressive this past year. It's a different position to learn in the NBA playing down low with trees crashing into you than it is playing on the wings, taking players off the dribble.

Big men are usually better earlier than later in their careers. Howard is going on his 8th year in the league so he's pretty much the player he will be. He will get more crafty as he gets older but he won't all of a sudden learn a bunch of post moves in the next 3 years.
