Re: Did Kobe quit on his teammates in game 4?

He was referring to the report that he stopped talking to Bryant during the postseason because Bryant's wife, Vanessa, had contributed to the breakup of Gasol and his longtime girlfriend. Lakers fans will remember that Karl Malone once publicly accused Vanessa of interfering with his personal life in a similar fashion.
What's up with Vanessa?

Re: Did Kobe quit on his teammates in game 4?

It's obvious that no team can win the championship every year, but what the Lakers have done over the last 2-3 years is unprecedented in this era of free agency. Name another team that can compare to what the Lakers have done over that time period. None.

Six pages of posts focusing on one team shows how great that team is and how great it's best player is. If the Lakers weren't and if Kobe wasn't, this discussion wouldn't have reached six pages.

Just stop, dude, seriously. :smh: you should be :dizzy: and :vomit: with all the :spin:ing that you're doing.

smh.

All you can do is just laugh and keep it moving.

So, Kobe's not on Jordan's level but some of you are STILL comparing him to Jordan?! Is that what I'm reading? Yes, it is.

Jordan never lost in the playoffs? Seriously?! LOL!!!

...you missed the whole point, son.

MJ and the Bulls never got SWEPT like your precious La fLakers did, ESPECIALLY as defending champs. LA was 2 time Defending Champs.

I dont think anyone said the bulls never lost in the playoffs.

And for the record, there is no comparison. Too bad GR and Blue feels otherwise.

Thas been my point about my LAKERS the last 3 years. No bench and the ones on the starting 5 except KOBE and FISHER ain't worth the money being paid. You say HOWARD is not dominant. You got to realize he ain't but 25 years old. It took KOBE almost that long to learn how to dominate at his position. REMEMBER ALL THEM AIRBALLS UTAH KEPT BAITING HIM INTO TAKING DURING HIS EARLY YEARS?

Howard is the answer in the middle for the LAKERS. Trade Bynam, Odem and Gasol and free up bout $30 million off the payroll. All these players ready to move in the offseason, the Lakers can get pratically anybody they want.

They should go for HOWARD first and then go after Chris Paul. Get those 2 with KOBE and build from there. Let Fisher come off the bench for another year. Chris Paul is not going to be playing for New Orleans when the 2011-2012 season starts. Sorry Hornets fans but ya'll know he gone too.

It has nothing to do with age and everything to do with personality. I'll put it to you like this. Atlanta single-covered Dwight for most of the series with stiffs. People will look at Dwight's numbers (27 and 16, 63% from the field) and say Dwight had a great series, the rest of his team didn't show up. The real truth is that a prime Shaq or a prime Olajuwon would have put up 50 a night if they were single-covered by Jason Collins or Zaza Pachulia. Dwight plays in a league that doesn't have another elite center, he should be putting up 35 a night. Still, I love how people think that making trades is easy like they're playing 2K11. Why would people be lining up to trade for Pau Gasol after the stinkbomb he just threw up? Odom is up and down, Bynum can't stay healthy and will be missing at least the first 5 games of next year. These aren't players the rest of the league is dying to have, and with their contracts, the Lakers can only get a big name player through a trade. It also begs the question of whether Kobe is ready and willing to transition into the #2 role.

Even when Yao was healthy he used to manhandle Dwight Howard.
