Ladies can you get away with proposing without having a ring in 2011??
*speak on it*
Zero. With the high divorce rate, she shouldn't get a ring until the fifth year of marriage. Folks go broke for a wedding and ring, then going separte ways a year or two later.
You spend whatever it takes to get me what I want. Say you won't! Say you wont! Stay your ass single then. If you ain't budging now........you ain't gonna do shit later. Okay then. and  NEW DYCK.
well hold on sista soulja
what u mean what u want???
and i hope u planning on spending the same on what "I" want, the dude wears rings too eh or gets something right??
That's CT. Sista Soulja and me aren't on the same planet. You can tell me what you want also. AND you can also take the mindset that if "I" won't do for you now..."I" won't do for you later. Cause that;s usually how it plays out. The signs are always there ahead of time.
yeah the ring will come, but is it necessary to have then, well at the proposal, what if the ring is not up to par, 28.00 dollar ring per say,
The love will still be there right ??
You haven't been paying attention.
Marriage is a business deal. I'm sure we've said that somewhere here before. It may be a good idea to have you financial affairs in order (and make sure hers are too) before you consider getting married. If the cost of a ring is a problem, then you shouldn't be getting married. Just my opinion. Money fights and money problems are the number one cause of divorce. Don't enter a marriage in a financial strain. Otherwise, get your girl something nice and don't worry about it.
You mean $280.00?
At this stage in my life, I'm not so sure I would even entertain a dude who can't afford a decent engagement ring. Sorry. You can call me a gold digger, if you want. But I'm bringing just as much value (not in the dollar sense) to the table.
Now 10 years ago, yes or maybe. 'Cause we're both trying to get established in our careers and money ain't there yet. But I tend to deal with older men. And older men should be further along in their careers and hopefully more financially stable/responsible.
I'll just ask my mom for one of her shiny rings.
But is the ring necessary for CT?? if the guy doesn't have a ring to pull outta his pocket (in front of your and his family) will that change your answer
Is CT marrying only for the ring???
speak on it

But here's the thing Fan, IS the woman marrying for the ring, what about the love??
From your take, it seems like the woman is only looking to see whats in the gray lil box?? like forget my love,
Rings are supposed to be a symbol of love, trust being one with your partner, right? Why should it matter how much a ring costs? If the ring matters more that the actual relationship, then more than likely that marriage won't manifest into what it was intended to be.
Of course CT isn't marrying for the ring alone. You can fugg a ring? :xeye: Howsonever, the ring is part of the courtship/mating "ritual".You think you not gonna have to get now-preggers GF AND the new baby a ring, too? You in denial Boo . The way you wrote about that...she got that good, good. Not only will you buy a ring for her and the baby, probably her mama and aunts too.
imp:
No nikka.
It's not about the ring. That's only a symbol. It's about whether you'll be able to take care of your family in the future. Security is what women are about. Taking the proper steps to get the ring is merely demonstrating that you can do that. If you can't handle the process of buying an engagement ring without a strain and a struggle, then how are you going to be able to handle a mortgage, car notes, insurance and so forth? You're the man. You should be able to handle this, right? It's a test. Pass it or fail it. For me, that was easy.
and thats what I'm trying to say, why must a guy go out and save for a ring at that particalur time
No shots at the dudes who went out and got their spouse their ring
