Texas Southern Alumni Ought to be Ashamed

$9,000.... that's it? :retard:

i'm not a fan of big fonts but CLEB made a good use for them in this thread. lol. If any of that post had been in color it would have been over the top tho.

9000 for a FAN made page is EXCELLENT for a HBCU... keep in mind this was a fan made page... not an official athletics page.

Ok. I was thinking it was a booster organization. :retard:

CLeb... i'm gonna nominate you for that tv show SNAPPED. Cool it man, it' snew year's eve. lol.

Without going into too much details folks; just over $26,000 was raised in precisely 15 minutes by alumni so let me put it to you like this... it's all about the way the alumni feels comfortable in the method of giving.

Have a blessed day. :)

Cleb, although I understand where you were coming from, let's be honest. HBCU alumni don't give as much as they could or should. I see it struck a nerve though with quite a few.

keep in mind the financial mismanagement issues sTu has had in the past and the fear of internet scams, many of the financial supporters are old heads and will not donate to something online. They prefer to talk to someone they know to feel assured what's going on with thier hard earned money. I agree with one of the earlier posters this may be something that should target new/recent, or the younger alumni.

My donations for the most part are through tsunaa, donations made through the tsunaa keep the voice of the alum strong.

I have been done with internet fund raisers every since this one fund for a injured fire fighter was uncovered to be a scam. In the end the fire fighter or the family never recieved a dime of the money and the organizer was no where to be found.

Also, on occasion the fund raiser gets a % of the money they raise. I like every penny of mine to go where intended so I use more traditional methods of giving.

Happy New Year!

If you see an official record of how much alumni give back you will be surprise at the amount given. The main problem is money is donated to various departments and scholarships and most of the time it is not counted as alumni gifts. Anybody can start a fundraiser and collect money. If all dollars were sent to the Alumni Associations these dollars can be counted. My point is do not be fooled by what people tell you about giving back.

I miss this shyt? Damn Chico Debarge went off:clap: Damn New Orleans trip..

Look like the Alter Ego Cleb about to start coming around now:lol:
