Actually if you are polarizing, it can increase your Q-rating. Just ask guys like Jason Whitlock, Jay Mariotti and Rick Rielly about that. Boy, they piss off readers all the time. Yet, they get tons page views from readers each day.

Not to defend the blogger. I don't know too much about the Texas Southern situation to determine who is right or wrong. But sometimes getting a rise out of people can work in your favor.

Personally, the Lioness loves to see all HBCUs profit financially and academically, which is why I am contributor to the United Negro College Fund.

I have and always will be a financial supporter of Texas Southern University.
I give directly to the school, alumni association. It is the most efficent mechanism for most supporters.

I think the fanraiser idea is an excellent venue for new supporters.

Please go sit yo @$$ down some where. We don't need to be merged with your school at all. Well atleast Alcorn don't I can't and wont speak for Valley but we are Great without being merged with you all. We can handle our own.

There was no need for a thread to be posted regarding giving back to Texas Southern University.

How would you have handled it if someone comes here with 1/4 information and makes the assumption that people are not giving back to your university in the way they see fit?

Information provided by CLeb was accurate information regarding how persons give back to TXSU. Its just so much of the negativity and bad mouthing your university that one can take. When will it End?

Im actually glad the thread came out... I was wondering the same exact thing when I looked at the front page of the swacpage and looked at the "amount given and goal"......if there was no need for the thread then the donation/graph needs to be taken off of the front page.

The point is that an assumption was made based on what is posted on front. Cleb pointed out that is not the only way that alumni gives back. FanRaiser is new so clearly other methods were being used prior too.
