A quick comment about this health care bill

Sending nothing was not a good idea, coupled with the silence while the town halls "debates". The beginning of this process was not handled with as tightly as it could have been.

As far as the "Dems are so damn weak" comment that's a blanket statement which does not fit into the Healthcare Debate. Alot of Dem's went out on the limb on many parts of this bill. You are assuming that every deal that was cut to get the current bill was done so withOUT the knowledge of the White House. You can't believe that it was Reid and his decision alone not to go the Cloture route.

And you are assuming they sent nothing and remain silent. I disagree with both. I think the White House remain in the background in regards to shaping this bill. If you think they didn't have any input you fooling yourself. As far as remaining silent, Press Secretary Gibbs got hammered daily about this and he answered everything that was thrown at him. It was the White House who wanted to get this bill passed before Congress went home for the summer break. You remember??? That's when all those town halls came about. If they would've finish, those town halls would've never existed, because the bill would've already been passed.

If you recall, a few weeks (maybe a month) ago it was leaked to the media that Ralph Emmanuel was trying to get Reid to use Cloture and Reid was resisting. He has said it several times that he's not using it. The White House wanted Reid to use it all along. He could've used it back in August, but it was and is his decision. The Senate is Reid's Caucus, not the White House. Hopefully Nancy Pelosi will get the Public Option put into the final bill when both chambers consolidate the bill. I have no confidence in Reid.

Private schools such as St.Aug, St.Mary's, Xavier Prep, Brother Martin, Jesuit, Holy Cross..etc have no government involved with them....


Compare those schools to the PUBLIC option "Public schools"...

The way the bill stands now.. no public option....The insurance companies will still do what the hell they want....There is still no competition... wasn't that one of the BIGGEST grips about why we needed reform? The greedy insurance companies?

It's a simple fix to that, that will make a large both repubs and dems (citizens) happy.. open the border for which you can purchase health care..

But they ain't even discussing that... because it's not really about the people.. it's about government control..simple as that.

It ain't about who agree with me on here... It's already in stone this site is one sided when it comes to politics... Hell most of my family is on that same side...

I'm on neither... BUT the main reason shyt ain't right because we have SIDES..

Separation of the people... the truth always lie within the middle...

RICH / POOR

It ain't even about religious beliefs any more because the religious Dems sacrifice "Jesus" and "God" for the Democratic agenda..... Republican are no better for allowing it.

They made a HUGE fuss about health care... PLEASE when any of you get a chance tell this board how great health care is NOW versus before this vote came up and how it changed your families lives....

I wont count on that though.. I'll be looking for the post about...

DAMN my taxes are sky high now.... After this entire health care vote is over... Watch just watch the “deficit” comes up.....

We all know what follows that... “TAX” increases..... It's amazing how one can live in this country so long and don't wake up and pay attention to this BS...

None of these parties for helping the minority and the poor.... If they were you wouldn't have EX DEM. President becoming millionaires while the poverty rate is steadily increasing...

My point is that both can exist. We have public/government run entities doing business against private entities in several areas, including schools, shipping, etc, and typically the private companies are doing just fine and offer better service.

Serious dude? It's not just EX Dem President's all Presidents make loot once they leave office. Your comment is so off it makes no sense. The CGI has raised and distributed at well over 80 billion in 5 years to millions of communities world wide. Their work on AIDs, genocide and clean water is unmatched for an org so young. And please don't forget about all the work Jimmy Carter has done since he left office.

Which one has the highest drop out rate?

Which one has more acceptance into IVY League schools?

Which one has more in upper posistions in this country?


Yet there more than double the number of Public vs. Private schools...

If your argument was based in fact we could have a sound discussion but since you are clearly speaking from an emotional non factual bases we have nothing else to discuss. So I will leave the games to you because it is clear we are on two different levels.

You're doing a good job of proving my point. Thanks. Public schools have a higher drop out rate. Private schools tend to be better, but the public school system is definitely needed. Imagine only having one or the other and not both. Only having private schools would result in more uneducated kids because their parents couldn't afford it. Consequently, only having private heathcare results in more people not having any healthcare because they can't afford it.

Of course we need public schools ....my point is we both know they could and should be ran better.. my point is we trusted the government with task and it's more of a failure than success compared to schools not ran by the government

There are scientist with no political ties that confirms there is no truth to that...the ones that once did recalled there claims.... global warming is a scare tactic to get more of the peoples tax money ....why you think they are trying to push cap and trade....? It all about money...because if it wasn't gas wouldn't be up for sell and trade.....my company wouldn't have been given extra incitives to get "smart grid" started.....we will profit but its going to cost the people a whole lot more...cap and trade ain't pass the first go around...but they going to keep pushing till they get it passed....expect your monthly light bill to double once this go through...power companies will endure a huge cost to get this done and you already know who will eat the cost so we stay in business and not take a profit loss...

My comments were on what the democrats initially presented....
But I will read what you have posted.. I don't need no one to explain to me what plain to see on a computer or paper.. so I ain't getting no crooked congressional members to interpret what they what me to hear from this bill..

Since you read it, you point out where in the bill that disproves what I already said…. Instead saying where you sat and what you read “without quoting what you readâ€￾
