Pound for pound, player for player, the Lakers should come out on top in less than seven games.

This ACTUALLY may be the best series in the past couple years, IMO. Could Go either way....Pound For Pound, I agree the lakers edge out...but that don't mean shyt 4 real with thier inconsistancy. So this could easily be a 7 game series either way...

~_________~

Denver got to many threats.....and they always show up to play. The same can't be said for the Lakers. Plus..if the Lakers had that hard of a time with Brooks on the high pick and roll.....Billups is finna clown because he will hurt you all over.

When it comes to the match ups..I don't see where the Lakers match up outside of Kobe.

Lakers have the advantage when it comes to starters: Kobe, Gasol and Bynum. Denver has the advantage with Carmello and Billups.

Lakers have a stronger bench, better coaching and home court advantage. The Lakers also have a better defense and are a better road team as well.

Don't let that Houston series fool you. You'll see the true Laker team against Denver, because they respect Denver more.

I honestly would be surprised if Bynum showed up against NeNe...NeNe aint a beast but Bynum aint impressed me too much besides a couple games here and there. K.Mart will put wear on Gasol..and be in his head all night..I can already see that. I think Denver match up advantages is better. The only person that can score at will for the Lakers is Kobe. Carmello and Billups score at will and the Lakers don't have a soul for either one.

And if they get JR Smith hyper self started..its gon be a long night.

Should be a good game, not really going for either team.

i'm confused by that "respect Denver more" statement.
why would you waste time with a team you don't really respect. i thought when(or if) you respect a team less you just beat the hell outta them quick, good and get the hell on so you can easily move on to a more respectable team?

i feel it could go either way, but its gone be in 7 games. i'll be watching cause this is gonna be a good series.

I see Lakers in 5
Denver does not match up well with the Lakers in the front or backcourt.
I expect Carmelo/Billups to average 20 but after that there arent any consistant scorers in Denver.

People keep talking about Denvers bench...what the hell? So they want everyone to be scared of Chris Anderson (no offense) Anthony Carter, and JR Smith. Smith can make a 3 every now and then, but he wont score 10 points a game. IM more worried about Klieza than those clowns

Denver has no one to guard Kobe Gasol or even Lamar. Lamar had a hard time with old crazy ass Artest, but Denver has no one to stop Lamar. What everyone sees in Denver, GR has no idea.

They beat N.O. with an injured James Posey and Tyson Chandler. They managed to beat up Chris Paul pretty good cause he didnt have any help.

They should still be playing Dallas right now cause that series should have been tied up and 2-2 instead of 3-1. Dallas barely made the playoffs.

Oh well

As blade would say

On to game 1

What say you, Greatest?

The Lakers match up with Denver much better than they did with Houston. They should win this series in less than 7 games. They only have to stop 1 player and that is Billups. The ironic thing is that Kobe or Ariza (sp?) is going to have to be that stopper. The regular Laker point guards cannot do it.

It should be a good series to watch.

Bynum is averaging a WHOPPING 5.6 points a game in the playoffs and you say the Lakers have the advantage. Man get out of here with that mess.

Stupidity at its best. Houston was down two starters, but you say they are a tougher team than the #2 seed Denver Nuggets. Y'all cats are smoking that good stuff.

Gasol not doing schat.

What do you expect, it's playoff time. Those weak European players can't play with the going gets tough. I'm just waiting for KMart to slap him in the mouth and take him completely out of the series.

Po Denver, shootin the lights out in the first quarter, 22 free throws to go with it, yet trail at halftime.:shame:
