can we get rid of sasha now? the lakers came back in the fourth as soon as they put him on the bench. they should chart his shots and see when he makes them. anybody can make shots up by 10....but when the lakers need him down by 5 he can't make the shot. trevor and fisher made their threes when sasha went to the bench.

The Lakers beat the Nuggets with our big men playing like crap.....

PAU 13 PTS
BYNUM 6 PTS
ODOM 6 PTS.

AND won in spite of the Nuggets big men dominating the scoring....

MELO SCORED 39 PTS (14/20)

NENE 14 PTS (6/9)

kENYON MARTIN 15 PTS (7/14)

CHAUNCEY 18 PTS

plus they shot 35 free throws to the Lakers 24.....yet STILL lost.:clap: Wow!!

Plus they didn't have this guy.

I have been watching, covering (pro and college) and playing sports for about 15 years, and I never felt that refs/umps decided the outcome of the majority of games I've witness.

You can say what about the ref not calling the intentional foul in the Dallas-Denver game? Well, Melo still had to make the three. Now if Melo missed the shot, the Denver fans would have been upset.

What about Rajon Rondo punching Brad Miller and not being called a flagrant foul? Well, Brad Miller has to make the FTs.

What about the ref in the Miami-Ohio State BCS title game who called pass interference in the endzone? The Hurricanes still had a shot to win in OT.

What about the ref in the Denver-San Diego game not calling a fumble by Jay Cutler? Well, the Chargers had a shot to stop the Broncos on fourth down and on the 2-point conversion attempt late in the game.

There are a million reasons why teams win and lose games that don't even have anything to do with the refs when you think about it.

If only the ref would had make this call or not made that call....no what if you did not turn the ball over 15 times, miss nine free-throws, throw three interceptions, walk 8 batters, commit 4 errors and 7 holding penalties?
kendrick

as usual I disagree with you. many times people say that the defense has to get the stop.....well in the examples above, THAT'S THE STOP. you can't continue to make stops over and over. the miami/ ohio state game was the worst of all. officials make mistakes all the time....its your job to overcome their mistakes. but when they make bad calls at the end of the game its impossible to overcome.

anybody can go over the entire game and highlite the losing teams mistakes.
you can't call a bad call at the end of the game causing a team to lose by 1 and then say, THE REASON YOU LOSS IS CAUSE YOU MISSED 2 FREE THROWS IN THE FIRST HALF. that's not fair.

the lakers have beaten the nuggets 4 of 5 times this year. has anyone considered that the lakers just might be better than denver.

this seried just goes to show that folks believe whatever they hear in the media. all the media has to do is keep repeating it over and over.

overall the lakers played a bad game....the nuggets played as good as they can play and the lakers still won.

they won cause they have the greatest player in the history of basketball who took over down the stretch. kobe is so great.

Question:

Why did George Carl have Anthony Carter checking Kobe? Was he trying to entice Kobe into taking jumpers cause Anthony has no chance to bother Kobes jumper? You cant even double team off that cause Kobe can shoot right over Carter. Why was Carter even in the game at the end.

Why is Jordan Farmar such a dumbass?

What did I tell you about JR Smith? He aint reliable. Im sure he will score 20 points in one of these games, but then he will score 5 in the next. Denvers bench is over rated.

Jordon tries to make the fancy play to much. And what the heyal was fisher doing early. He was taking to many shots and missing them all. Put brown in the game and leave Sasha in the locker Room.

Next game Melo will come down to earth. He will score some points but not 39. Kenyon Martin will blow up. The Birdman will be in foul trouble. JR smith will try to shoot them back in. I mean a cluster F I tell you.

Lakers in 5

What is it about Farmar you have a problem with? I don't have a problem with him.

Now Sasha...yeah, he's a problem. You know things are bad when Phil puts him in for defensive purpose instead of offensive.

STC is no fan of either team but Denver had their chances. Too many missed free throws and too much Kobe down the stretch. That bad in-bouunds pass really sealed denver fate. Despite all of that Denver really outplayed LA the whole game. Odom and Gasol are both soft but Odom is just terrible.

If it wasn't for Kobe the lakers would have gotten htey head beat to the white meat. Denver should have won and not stole game 1. The lakers stole their own home game. Kobe is the best player in the NBA. STC don't know what meds Jerry West was smoking when he proclaimed LeBron the best. If Lebron was on the Lakers they would have gotten beat by 15 last night. The shots that Kobe was hitting was pretty tough shots. Melo beat him up under the boards all nite long. Denver had their chance but they know what they must do inthe next game. The Lakers should know also. Gotta get Odom going early and and Gasol. Kobe can't do it by himself.

Well Phil Jackson and GR have a problem with Farmar. He does too much dumb schit and as soon as he does, Jackson puts him on the bench. I wish he would put Shannon in the game more often.

ummmm...Denver didn't play their best and neither did Melo and lost by 2.

Denver will tie it up going into Game 3.

And where is Lisa Salters and why is she not the sideline reporter?

Hey Sweetie

Stacy Dash send help

The next time Gasol and Lamar Odor actually box somebody out before going for the rebound will be their first time. Didnt they learn that in grade school.

BTW...the Lakers got robbed in 2nd and 3rd quarter by the refs

LOL

STC thought the refs did a pretty decent job. Both teams wer battling game long. Denver is just so physical . The Lakers are not a physical team at all. Odom is just too soft. This is a series that STC has been looking forward to. Denver is just plaing better basketball right now.

Denver still had a chance at the end. Melo 3pter should have been scored as a 3 but the refs sored it as a long 2 but Chauncey foot was also out of bounds on that last 3 also.

The refs will have an even harder time in game 2 with denver playing so physical. Denver frontline ain't mesing around. Melo is playing at a higher level. He did okay on Kobe when faced with the task of guarding him. Dante Jones is just too small. He may have to aggrivate Kobe and get Kobe out of his game. Denver started doing that on Kobe. He still needs help.

It's a good thing Billup's three point shot (after he clearly stepped out of bounds) didn't win the game. That ref should be fined for missing an easy call. He HAD to have seen that. What else could he have been looking for when a player's that close to the line?:noidea:

The Lakers will get more fouls in their favor in game 2. There's a difference between playing physical and just outright hacking and it not being called.
